I heard parts of this on the radio today and it IS awesome. I had forgotten about his inability to carry a tune.

I REALLY like Bob Dylan. He is his own man, and that is rare these days.

"He'll Sleigh You"

Should that be Cat Stevens?

It is beyond horrible. What is this reviewer smoking?

Now if only Dylan could sing.....

Dylan's real talent was always in his writing. Performing a bunch of tunes someone else wrote is like having Monet reproduce the Mona Lisa in paint-by-numbers.

Does he sing any Christmas songs that actually deal with the real meaning of Christmas instead of a guy in a red suit?

He does hit each note eventually. Somewhere in that rocky slide up and down the musical register that makes up his musical phrasing he always trips past the right note—or something approximating it.

The review is hilarious. Always have considered Dylan overrated. Wrote some good lyrics — but, then, so did guys like Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. Dylan benefited from being part of the Baby Boomer anti-war culture. Give me “Proud to be an Okie from Muskogee” any day of the week.

Some of my favorite Christmas CDs. I'd be willing to give Dylan a listen...

Next, a duet with Streisand?

Never could stand that nasally voice; my hat’s off to those who like it.

Too many drugs and old age have come on this man. He should retire and think things over.

He throws down the gauntlet immediately with the twinkling pep of “Here Comes Santa Claus,” one of the most annoying carols ever written.

Actually, it is one of the few about Santa Claus that puts Christianity first. Here’s the final two verses:

Here comes Santa Claus,
Here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus Lane,
He’ll come around when chimes ring out,
It’s Christmas time again.
Peace on earth will come to all,
If we just follow the light,
So let’s give thanks to the Lord above
‘Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

I especially love Dylan's version of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer":

Muh-muh nuh muh-muh muh-muhhhhh

Muh-muh nuh-muh-muh-muh-muh-muh muhhhhhh.....

The royalties from this record are being donated to feed the hungry.

Dylan is a national treasure.

isn’t that one of the signs of the Second Coming, Jews singing Christmas Carols? Because I know that pro hockey in Nashville has to be another one...

You know it’s has been time when a rocker puts out a Christmas album. Reminds me of some old geezer.

The accordian on “Must Be Santa” has a definite klezmer sound!
