Is Obama Another Carter?

President Obama should have passed on the Nobel Peace Prize. Among other reasons, such as not being especially deserving, accepting this accolade will now merge him even more forcefully in Americans' minds with Jimmy Carter, who was awarded the same honor in 2002.

That is a fate that Obama should avoid at all costs.

Many of us remember Carter's presidency as a time of unimaginable embarrassment for the United States. The Iran hostage crisis, and Carter's ineffectual efforts to rescue our citizens who were detained for 444 days, will stand forever as testament to the consequences of trying to befriend Islamic militants.

Obama should take note, as he proffers friendship and a "new beginning" to President Ahmadinejad.

It’s fair to see some comparisons because there are many, but there is a big difference and that is that Carter had faith that Socialism would make our country a better place. Naive? maybe. Foolish? maybe.

OTOH Obama knows damn well how Socialism will destroy our country and doesn’t give a flying monkey.

Obama seems to have way mre ambition and way less knowledge than Carter and even less intelligence. He promises, however, to be way more destructive to the Republic. If any of his major initiatives is enacted it probably spells the end of Capitalist America and prosperity and will rapidly lead to a tightly controlled society. The most dangerous of his desires are Cap&Trade and Amnesty because he has Republicans in the Senate who favor those routes to the one-party Social Democrat stae.

There are two "prizes" which have lost their glitter, and their impact to most Americans, based solely on those who were politically chosen to receive them. They are the Nobel Peace Prize, and the Pulitizer Prize.

Meanwhile, the same libs who writhe in ecstacy when one of their own is named for these recognitions, will stand up and protest violently against schools who have Valedictorians, Salutatorians, or even keep score at a sporting event.>

Liberals are such worthless individuals...they hate the world because of who knows what, resent anyone who has worked their butts off to get ahead, and hates anyone who has accomplished more than them...but, let one of those blind squirrels fina and acorn (no pun intended) and their "award" shows them to have all the traits they heretofore resented.

The Nobel prize has become a gold star on the forehead of an otherwise lackluster student. Have we become so locked in political correctness that we have to award someone for their "intentions"...or "hopes" as it were.

Zero is a showhorse in a pink saddle pageant, his teleprompter reading is his "talent" and his hope is for "world peace" (on his terms). All he needs to do for the media now is prance arount in a speedo so crissy matthews and the press can get their daily "tingle" and we can all die happy.
