"If you believe it's time to put principles above parties, character above campaign promises, and Common Sense above all -- then I ask you to read this book...." In any era, great Americans inspire us to reach our full potential. They know with conviction what they believe within themselves. They understand that all actions have consequences. And they find commonsense solutions to the nation's problems.
One such American, Thomas Paine, was an ordinary man who changed the course of history by penning Common Sense, the concise 1776 masterpiece in which, through extraordinarily straightforward and indisputable arguments, he encouraged his fellow citizens to take control of America's future -- and, ultimately, her freedom.
Nearly two and a half centuries later, those very freedoms once again hang in the balance. And now, Glenn Beck revisits Paine's powerful treatise with one purpose: to galvanize Americans to see past government's easy solutions, two-part monopoly, and illogical methods and take back our great country.

“Love Glenn or not, we all deserve the truth!!!”
Indeed!

that is all ye know on earth,
and all ye need to know.”

I never did quite trust beck—but then...the enemy of my enemies is my friend...maybe...

Could be most of us were born just a bit too late for that,it turns out.
But, the fat broad ain’t sung yet...

Well, you should - at least give him a try...
He seems to be more of an ordinary American that is worried about the future - and I am also...
It is not a problem of whether he is right or not, but a question of “What are the answers to the questions that he poses”. If you can answer those then you are either a Democrat or lost...heh.
I am finishing this up right now. Excellent!
So.. you consider yourselves more ignorant than a TV host's research staff?
Come on. Beck is just the name-brand. He is not responsible for any content.
Do not bow down before the false godlings of the media.
Not sure what you are saying. I could care less about the messenger....it is the message we are interested in. The message of TRUTH.
If you would be kind enough to tell me who else is reporting on this, then please share. But until then, to each his own, but Glenn Beck is not sprouting opinion which is rampant on all networks, but fact!!! Truthful fact, okay? oh and I bow down to know man. And while I am at it.
Can you show me one place in this book that he lied????
should have said ‘NO MAN’.
So why all the Beck worship?
If you would be kind enough to tell me who else is reporting on this, then please share.
Reporting be damned. You can look it all up as well as Beck's staff.
oh and I bow down to know man.
OK, we're getting into literacy issues here...
Can you show me one place in this book that he lied?
I do not contribute to the aggrandizement or wealth of media mouthpieces.
I have no book of Beck to worship. How about you?
Bookmarked
Okay, let’s get this straight.
I consider my opinion no greater than yours. So if I came over to heavy handed, then I apologize.
Truth is truth and truth can be found in the most unlikely of places. To your point, I could find out everything that Glenn and his staff has; that is if I had the time and the means. Unfortunately, I fall short on both. I believe most people do.
People think knowledge is power, it isn’t. But it is very difficult to act in power when one does not even know of the enemy.
Apathy has been and hopefully is not still the greatest flaw in American culture. Apathy is fueled by ignorance.
I hope, if nothing else, we can agree on this
Surely.
I just object to the crediting of Beck himself.
He is just a mouthpiece.
Never trust the media, but if you must...
Try to understand it is NEVER just the guy who mouths the words.
“Well, you should...”
*************
Well there’s the difference—I have no idea what “you should...”—nor would I waste my time trying...
;)

Heh..maybe you are one of those that refuse to read the entire sentence... Seems to be a Democratic problem...
That was a funny though..hehe...
Not like when he was on the Detroit radio area, he quoted Rush's Father's article about the signers of The Deceleration of Independence, just like he was reading it from Rush's book.
At least Rush said it was from his Dad!!!
BTTT for Glenn Beck.
That is solely your opinion and nothing more. Ask 100 people and you get 100 opinions.
