Graham Backs Push for Climate Change Legislation
Fox News ^ | 10/11/2010 | Fox News

A top Senate Republican on Sunday announced his support for sweeping climate change legislation, disputing the "conventional wisdom" that says Congress simply cannot tackle the issue this year.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., co-authored an op-ed with Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., in The New York Times calling for action on legislation.

Kerry rolled out a Senate climate change bill alongside Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., late last month. A Graham aide said Sunday that the South Carolina Republican was not explicitly endorsing that bill, but stands ready to work with Kerry toward some version of legislation to combat global warming.

Though even Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has expressed doubt that the Senate can address the issue at the same time it's engineering health care reform, Graham and Kerry said a bipartisan bill is possible before a major international climate change summit in Copenhagen in December.

Cool cartoon even though I don’t totally get what’s going on. Do you know who the lion represents?

Wasn’t it British ship makers?

He needs to go ahead and do the Spector. What good is he to us?
+++++++++++++++

No kidding - Graham is a disgrace and wastes our conservative energies. Let’s oppose him and let him KNOW WHY. Let’s encourage him to switch parties.

This is NO TIME for bipartisanship.

The time for bipartisanship is well passed. We all tried that for 30 or 40 years. If the demonRAT party wants to come toward the center?? - then perhaps we can work with some portion of them in a generation (that may never happen.)

But now is the time to stand on principle.

Which must be why Graham is out there with traitor Kerry. Because they both have none.

Spineless weasels.

Was it? I don’t know. And if it is, then I still don’t get the cartoon (which isn’t the cartoon’s fault of course).

Just looked it back up. An interesting history lesson connected with of all things, the Titanic. Yikes!

Here’s the caption to the pic I posted:

“... and also shows the British Lion and John Bull being thrown overboard. As I said, it was a cutthroat business. The international competition gave the shipbuilders the same cry to the government about regulations that is still heard today: that costly regulation would cause them to lose business to other countries, in this case Germans and the French.”

At this point I’m starting to wonder if someone has incriminating video on Lindsay, forcing him to vote this way. Seriously.

He’s won his elections weth 60 to 68 percent of the vote. In fact, he got 68% in the election that followed his near-treasonous support of immigration reform while latched on to McCain’s butt.

He probably thinks he’s unbeatable in SC.

But... but... if Sarah Palin forms a third party in 2012... it will split the GOP vote and we'll end up with legislation pushed by Democrats... like Climate Change and Shamnesty.

Vote for the RNC = Frying Pan

Vote for Democrats = Fire

Vote for 3rd Party Conservatives = a principled choice, however slim, for limited, Constitutional Government.

Okay, now I get it. The new Inman ships were a way of getting a leg up on the British shipbuilding industry. Their development was a patriotic thing and was subsidized by the federal government. That was interesting — thanks.

AThe only “global warming” they should worry about is the public tornado resulting from their hot air and waste of people’s lives through divisive policies.

Yikes!!! Graham is increasingly totally out of touch with reality! What is it with this guy??? Has he totally lost his mind???

I might ask the same of Olympia Snow and John McCain, to name just two of many "like-minded 'thinkers'" in the GOP....

How can they be so clueless? Why can't they see they are selling out America?

It just sends me over the edge when these idiots reason that if they don’t work with the rats a worse bill will be passed! No form of legislation that triples peoples energy bills, kills job creation, blocks oil exploration, and gives China and India another business edge over us is good!

However I look forward to the first locomotive being developed with a wind mill on it! Perhaps Chrysler/Obama motors will figure out that beauty huh?

Some of us urged that folks here support the Ron Paul Democrat who ran against him in November but were shot down by those who said that Republicans “had” to control the Senate.

Being Republican is a lot more important to some people than being an American. They are Republican-Americans. The plantation mentality is very pervasive.
