Politics aside, that seems to be a VERY poor reason to give out any prize. Based on “promise”? That’s like giving the Vince Lombardi trophy to the Giants at the beginning of the season, based on the fact that “they show promise of winning it all.” It’s simply ludicrous.

Wow, even AP via Google is skeptical about this B.S. award.

All the Noble “Peace Prize” does now is reward sniveling weasels who make grandiose speeches disparaging America in foreign lands. Consider the past recipients.
They ought to just drop the pretense and rename it the “Nobel Enemy of America Prize”.

This award and SNL spoof of obama has SHOWN has brought to the front all his accomplishments...NOTHING...this award i hope will backfire on him in the future when he WILL HAVE to increase troops in Afghanistan....When there still will be NO peace in the middle east...
Yup...let them have their party now...

This is like awarding a Harvard PhD to a 5-year-old on his 10th day of Kindergarten.

Its a joke! What has Obama done to earn it apart from running his ignorant mouth?

It was awarded based on his worldview, nothing more.

Question: was the boy bow to the saudi king within the first 10-days? I believe the Egypt trip was within that window, but not sure where the bow fits in. If the bow makes the window, then, well, hey... the nobel committee DID have something to base that award on!
