Barack Obama: Taleban can be involved in Afghanistan future
Times Online ^ | 10/08/2009 | Tim Reid in Washington

President Obama is prepared to accept some Taleban involvement in Afghanistan’s political future and is unlikely to favour a large influx of new US troops being demanded by his ground commander, a senior official said tonight.

Mr Obama appears to have been swayed in recent days by arguments from some advisers, led by Vice-President Joe Biden, that the Taleban do not pose a direct threat to the US and that there should be greater focus on tackling al-Qaeda inside Pakistan.

A number of my South Vietnamese friends were tortured and murdered because the U.S. Congress thought “we need to engage the DPRV.”

Engage the Taliban?

Hell yes! Engage them with with some 30MM!

The thought of Slow Joe having anything to do with policy formation makes my skin crawl. Unfortunately, he’s probably brighter than his boss.

Legitimizing is a product of Liberalism.
Liberalism in dealing with terrorism = fail.
Legitimizing the Taliban connected to terrorism =Fail.
Barry and his goons of libtards = FAIL!

Legitimizing has never and will never end the threat of terrorism.

No doubt, it will take a few more 9/11-type incidents to occur before many libtards and advocates of Liberalism get the picture and even then, I personally have my doubts.

Maybe I missed something here. We’re currently fighting the Taliban, which 1) is killing American soldiers on a regular basis right now; 2) Actively allowed al Qaeda to set up shop in Afghanistan prior to 9/11.

Now we’re saying that it is OK for the Taliban to have an on going political role in Afghanistan?

How can this be?

It's time for all of us to get it right.

Barack Obama is not stupid, foolish or naive. He is exactly on track toward in goal of destroying the United States, as his mother and mentors taught him to do.

The Kenyan Clown hates and despises this country.

The Taliban were part and parcel of Al Qaeda's attack on us on September 11. They have worked hand in glove with bin Laden.

Obama knows this full well. If he allows the Taliban to return to power, Obama would be making crystal clear his support for the terrorists who attacked us on September 11.

This is disgusting. Bambi is cool with any authoritarian ThirdWorkf regime because he regards it as a slap at the West. In this case, some of these people wanted a Bette life and trusted us. Big mistake.Bambi will probably be congratulating them on eradicating the eeevil Westen influence from their pure Islamic hell-hole.

why not bury a big ol’ H-Bomb under Kabul, take the little grey box with the big red button back to the USA, and tell them to be good?

This is so unbelievable that it must be a trial balloon to see if they can get away with it. We should lay low until it becomes official policy and let all hell break loose.

Un-believable - When Obama said the Taliban does not pose a threat within Afghanistan - he has just undermined every single woman there.

Talk about undoing rights for every single woman and girl in Afghanistan. What kind of life can they look forward to going back to. This should get the attention of every women’s rights group in this country and abroad. I am seriously irritated by this - unbelievable.

OSAMA BIN LADEN TO LEAD TALIBAN MILITARY OPERATIONS

Citing high-ranking Afghan sources, the Pakistani newspaper, Nation, has reported that the Taliban have appointed two international terrorists, Osama bin Laden and Juma Namangani, to lead military operations against the Northern Alliance.

According to the paper's information, the Taliban leadership has de facto appointed terrorist no.1, bin Laden, as defence minister. He is currently organising offensives from his secret hide-out. Another terrorist, the Uzbek Juma Namangani, has become bin Laden's assistant, carrying out his orders on the northern front.

In the paper's opinion, the new appointments will increase the role of Arab, Pakistani and other foreign mercenaries fighting for the Taliban and could lead to new groups of religious fanatics entering Afghanistan. According to Nation's information, up to 60,000 foreign mercenaries are now fighting for the Taliban.
