Barack Obama: Taleban can be involved in Afghanistan future
Times Online ^ | 10/08/2009 | Tim Reid in Washington

Posted on 10/08/2009 1:11:01 PM PDT by Responsibility2nd

President Obama is prepared to accept some Taleban involvement in Afghanistan’s political future and is unlikely to favour a large influx of new US troops being demanded by his ground commander, a senior official said tonight.

Mr Obama appears to have been swayed in recent days by arguments from some advisers, led by Vice-President Joe Biden, that the Taleban do not pose a direct threat to the US and that there should be greater focus on tackling al-Qaeda inside Pakistan.

The Constitution defines this as treason. Obama is guilty of treason. Why are we waiting. Prosecute him in state courts!!!!!!!!!

No wonder the ObaJunta has been so strident in stating that assassination attempts will be made on Obama. They knew this was coming.

This means we are in for some very difficult times, and Obama's life indeed will become in increasingly more danger!

This is just horrible, horrifying.

And no wonder Janet Napolitano defined conservatives as right wing terrorists, they knew that Obama would embark on treasonous policies, and they knew that it would polarize conservatives in our nation. They have no pretense about representing all of America, they will only represent 30 to 40 per cent of the people. The rest can go straight to hell.

The polarization of our nation will generate real extremists , especially among those whose family are killed in Afghanistan under this horribly treasonous policy. And it will also create leftist extremists who will be dangerousky allied with the federal government, fomentinng violence in our streets.

That's the horror. and it is a polarization that the Obama Junta has planned for and accepts. They want it to happen.

And Afghanistan? If anyone had doubts that it will become purposefully a war of attrition, i.e. Vietnam II, well you have it.

Buckets of blood, both American and Afghani, with Obama kept isolated behind every bullet proof shield the feds can muster, a haunted and hunted man. Horrible.Increasingly isolated and divorced from mainstream America

What a horrible cycle of unAmerican activity.

And it will bring the war in Afghanistan right home here to the streets of America. The dems obviously want that to happen.

Such are the wages of treason inside the White House itself. People will soon be looking for hidey holes to crawl into, hoping that when they come out, it will all be over.Which is also something the ObamaJunta wants. They are counting on middle America to do just that.

And why not?

We’ve got our own taliba-stard squatting in the White House.

Maybe the great caliph thinks he’ll have more in common with a bunch of wild eyed mohammedan fundamentalists than he does with the wishy washy ones running the show in afghanistan now.

Obama's cowardice will only increase aggression, because his weakness confirms to the terrorists that Allah favors the the terrorist cause.

1996 : (BIN LADEN RANT, LAUGHS AT AMERICAN IMPOTENCE ) "We say to the Defense Secretary [William Perry] that his talk can induce a grieving mother to laughter! . . . Where was this false courage of yours when the explosion in Beirut took place in 1983? . . . You [were] turned into scattered pits and pieces at that time; 241 mainly marine soldiers were killed. And where was this courage of yours when two explosions made you leave Aden in less than twenty-four hours! But your most disgraceful case was in Somalia; where—after vigorous propaganda about the power of the USA and its post–Cold War leadership of the new world order—you moved tens of thousands of an international force, including twenty-eight thousand American soldiers, into Somalia. However, when tens of your soldiers were killed in minor battles and one American pilot was dragged in the streets of Mogadishu you left the area carrying disappointment, humiliation, defeat and your dead with you. . . . You have been disgraced by Allah and you withdrew. The extent of your impotence and weaknesses became very clear." 45

Meanwhile this will be hailed as a great victory for Obama, as mass murder by the Taliban is taking place.

Not unlike Bill Clinton's grandiose tour of Africa, and how Jessie Jackson his special envoy helped Liberia's Charles Taylor and his machete-weilding buddies lay waste to both Liberia and Sierra Leone battling for control of diamond mines. Jessie would show up at Taylor's place with his hand out and the following month al Qaeda would show up to do their deals with Taylor through the late 1990s. Press covered that up real well.

There is no difference between Taliban and al Queda. Taliban is part of al Queda. The latter means “the base” in arabic and is the ideological wahabbist underpinning of acts of terror committed by al Queda members such as Taliban (and others).

It is akin to saying in WW2: we have no opposition with the Gestapo, our fight is with Hitler and his Nazis.

Who says they are reluctant? Many more Afghans have died fighting the Taliban than our own soldiers. You need to check your facts.

“Yes, freedom is desired. But why won’t the Afghanis fight for it? Or is that our responsibility?

I don’t mind giving them a helping hand, but this is way beyond that.”

Considering Obummer’s decision here, the one’s who were too scared to fight might end up being the smart one’s. When the jerk in the white hut hands over the government to the Taliban and bails on the war those who were fighting along side the U.S. will be the stars of one of those public executions the Taliban loves so much. The Afghan’s know who is in the White House now, and I suspect they saw this coming. We did.

American soldiers serving in Afghanistan are depressed and deeply disillusioned, according to the chaplains of two US battalions that have spent nine months on the front line in the war against the Taleban.

Many feel that they are risking their lives — and that colleagues have died — for a futile mission and an Afghan population that does nothing to help them, the chaplains told The Times in their makeshift chapel on this fortress-like base in a dusty, brown valley southwest of Kabul.

“The many soldiers who come to see us have a sense of futility and anger about being here. They are really in a state of depression and despair and just want to get back to their families,” said Captain Jeff Masengale, of the 10th Mountain Division’s 2-87 Infantry Battalion.

So, now you have changed the subject. You said that the Afghans were reluctant to fight the Taliban. I responded by saying that more Aghans have died fighting the Taliban (many times more) that our own.

Now, you want to change the subject and try and indicate that American soldiers are depressed.

Well, I know quite af few who have served there and are serving their and those I know are not depressed. They are concerned because they feel the current administration will make what they have fought for in vain...but, up to this time, there has been a significant re-up rate amonst those soldiers. Most of those understand that fighting the islamic jihadist and extremists there has made it much more difficult for them to plan attacks and bring them here.

I have no doubt that there are those who are depressed, and that there are those who question things. When you have tens of thousands of people involved in any endeavor that will be the case.

But remember, these are all volunteers. And as I stated, up to this point many of them have volunteered over and over again. You might want to ask yourself why.

As I said, based on my own friends, the answer is clear.
