DETROIT -- Detroit's homeless and low-income residents have another opportunity for a chance at millions of stimulus dollars.
The money is available to help low-income residents from becoming homeless and homeless residents to find housing.
Thousands of people lined up Tuesday.
Some people in line falsely believed they were registering for $3,000 stimulus checks from the Obama Administration.
City officials told Local 4 that Detroit was granted $15 million to help residents pay bills and their rent or find temporary housing for the homeless.

Looking at that line of people, it is obvious they aren’t getting the money because they are starving...
Wouldn’t it make more sense to give the millions to small Detroit businesses so they can hire these people?
Would you hire them? Would you have them serving your customers? Would you eat at at restaurant or even fast food place with some of these folks preparing and serving food?
Actually, I don’t think many in that line have ANY experience working at anything more than the lowest menial jobs. And, thank you socialism, for what you have wrought.
(BTW, I agree with you, NeverForget01. I lost friends in the Beirut bombing of 1983, I have not, will not, forget them.)
Do you have to be an A.C.O.R.N. member to be in this line?
How many would be in line if that “free money” went directly to the electric company to be applied to their past bills?
It was raised by about 20% from what I read.
If the big crash ever does happen, those people are not going to make it. Without any government to funnel other peoples nolonger existant treasure to them, they will likely starve after they have robbed and looted everything each other has.
I’d say that more than half of this country just would not make it.
The Detroit Plantation.
How many people in the big cities know how to plant food?
They were in downtown Detroit (by Cobo Hall) in the thousand this morning. I had to go there this AM and by 10 AM the line must have been over a 1,000 feet long with people about 3 abreast. The had all the road around the area completely congested and ignored traffic lights at will.
‘Small’ inpatient fee hike of 21% seen as broken promise
Published: October 6, 2009
“Defense health officials didn’t do the Obama administration any favor Wednesday when they announced a “small” increase in the daily fee that military retirees under 65, their families and covered survivors must pay for inpatient care in civilian hospitals under TRICARE Standard starting Oct. 1.
The jump, in fact, for working age retirees and their families is $110 per day, a 20.6 percent increase.”
Mo free money video. One woman is gonna call Obama cause people needs they money.

That's right, lady, we gots to do that, we gots to thank Obama. This money is coming right out of his pocket, after all. Puke.
I need that money too but I really doubt I’ll be getting it. Of course I have pride and won’t be applying for free money from others.
Well, they deserve it, you know. They can’t be expected to obey any laws.
We are the first nation in the history of the world to have obese "poor" people. Our "poor" also usually have a car, microwave oven, cell phone, computer, and more than one television set.
From Ebony magazine......
Wealth redistribution...right before our eyes.
"Detroiters fight their way inside Cobo Center in Detroit on Wednesday to get applications for help with mortgage and utility bills. Threats were made, fights broke out and people were nearly trampled." (ANDRE J. JACKSON/Detroit Free Press)
Whew, fixed.
