NEW ORLEANS — An internal review at Acorn, the embattled community organizing group, revealed that its founder’s brother had embezzled $5 million from the group, five times more than the amount disclosed, according to a subpoena served Monday by the Louisiana attorney general. But the organization’s chief executive denied that any internal review had revealed that figure.

Yeah, disclosed and acknowledged after it was known to Bertha for eight years and she did nothing until two former ACORN staff blew the whistle on it.
Bertha should be prosecuted.
They should have checked the freezer sooner.
Meanwhile the NYSlimes has announced it is doubling the number of reporters digging through the trash in Alaska.
The Catholic Bishops pulled the funding going to ACORN and used this embezzlement as their reason.
I was tempted to write to our Bishop and say, “You ought to be thankful this crook embezzled the money, because otherwise it all would have been spent to buy fake votes to elect abortion lovers to office.”
The more this guy embezzled, the less was left to spend on destroying our country.
Yep, someone will pay for this; Palin better be prepared.

Probably the natural place to open a corrupt business like ACORN though... If you combine the local government with the state government and throw in law enforcement - well, you have a trifecta! Not a place to be raising kids for sure...
Use to go to Mardi Gras but even that has become so corrupt and dangerous that only the unenlightened still attend.
Was there a report that Bertha told the ACORN Board the figure was closer to $8 million?
Maybe the figure was lower, but IIRC it was at least $5 million.
