President Obama's National Security Adviser James L. Jones suggested Sunday that the public campaign being conducted by the U.S. commander in Afghanistan on behalf of his war strategy is complicating the internal White House review now underway, saying that "it is better for military advice to come up through the chain of command

What better military advice could a commander in Chief get than that from his boots on the ground general?

You’re right.
I’ve like Jones in the past, but this smells like a sellout to me. Either that or he is jealous somehow.
Gen. McChrystal does have a responsibility to those who are serving. Who put their lives in harms way for him and for the President.
I realize the President see nor fells none of this.

Isn’t calling out the General in the media the same tactic? Shouldn’t this be done in private through the chain of command?

“We will be examining different options,” said Jones, a retired Marine general and former Supreme Allied Commander Europe. “And I’m sure General McChrystal and General [David] Petraeus and Admiral [Mike] Mullen will be willing to present different options and different scenarios in this discussion that we’re having.”

We don’t like your assessment. We don’t want to do it your way. Give us one they’ll like at the State Dept and the DoJ.
Oh- and the ACLU too. Be sure to get their ideas on how to wage war.

"And I'm sure General McChrystal and General [David] Petraeus and Admiral [Mike] Mullen will be willing to present different options and different scenarios in this discussion that we're having." Obama is stalling and he sends Jones out to make this statement that really means absolutely nothing. Obama needs to either $hit or get off the pot. Either supply McChrystal with what he needs or get the hell out.

The “chain of command” at present leads to a phony “commander in chief”.

"I think the end is much more complex than just about adding 'X' number of troops," Jones said on CNN. " But I don't foresee the return of the Taliban and I want to be very clear that Afghanistan is not in imminent danger of falling." Your "Muslim in Chief" has emboldened them with the suicidal ROE.. They just attacked a FOB and killed 8 service members.. Fifty Three KIA since august..
Barry Hussein has made sitting ducks out of our troops.
Thanks alot libtards and "moderates" You've elected the enemy.
Pray for our troops..
