My point. If you want a viable conservative party, and quickly, you can only get it by taking over an existing structure. Building a new one from the ground up would take too long, and would guarantee leftist control for as long as it took to get it to major party status. By then the USA would be done for. Instead, the grassroots need to seize the reins of the GOP, and this is the way to do so. Just because someone with libertarian creds proposed it doesn’t make it automatically a bad idea.

The OP(formerly the GOP) has been in power since the mid 1850's. It's had more than enough time to prevent the country from being toast. Instead the OP has incrementally joined those seeking the country's destruction.

Instead, the grassroots need to seize the reins of the GOP, and this is the way to do so.

Why didn't the grassroots seize the reins long ago when there was far less socialism in the OP? Expecting it to happen now is ludicrous.

Well said. I’ve been doing what you recommend for years, the problem is obvious from the responses. Too many have no intrest in doing anything but complaining.

Nowadays a viable network can be established in days maybe weeks.

I think it was Jesus that spoke a against putting new wine in old wineskins. He also said something about just a little leaven leavening the whole lump.

IMO the GOP is dead and has been dead for some time. I won't help rebuild it. I'll help bury it and jump on the grave however.

Nominating the man who undermined the party's Congressional majority is stupid beyond comprehension and I cannot align with people who support that.
