The OP(formerly the GOP) has been in power since the mid 1850's. It's had more than enough time to prevent the country from being toast. Instead the OP has incrementally joined those seeking the country's destruction.

Instead, the grassroots need to seize the reins of the GOP, and this is the way to do so.

Why didn't the grassroots seize the reins long ago when there was far less socialism in the OP? Expecting it to happen now is ludicrous.
