Both bills can be read in less than 5-minutes and call for the audit to be reported by the end of 2010.
Read in less than five minutes? Neither bill will pass.

Audit the Fed all you want.
Ron Paul already admitted the info is unimportant.

"Who says all of us Californians are fruits and nuts? LOL."A cousin from Jersey made the "California, land of fruits & nuts" reference to me the other day. I responded with, "Speaking of land of fruits & nuts, how's Jimmy McGreevey doing?"

Audit the Fed, don't audit the Fed.
It's just funny that Ron Paul himself said that the info that would be found in an audit is unimportant.

No offense, but could you provide a link that supports your characterization of Ron Paul’s view of an audit?

You interpret the following to mean that Ron Paul believes auditing the Fed is useless?:
“Of course, it’s the policies...is the only thing that really counts.”

Ron Paul says it's very important that the Fed be more transparent. 1207 deals with transparency. He wants to know more about Fed dealings with foreign central banks, foreign governments and int’l financial organizations. Bernanke said he'd be open to releasing more info about this.
He said they'd be glad to provide more info about the Fed's operations. How they manage lending, how they handle collateral.
Sounds like all the things Ron Paul wants in 1207. Do you disagree that that's the purpose of 1207?
