ACORN case sent to DA's Office (San Diego)
San Diego Union Tribune ^ | Oct 4, 2009 | Eleanor Yang Su

In the months leading up to last fall's historic presidential election, one Imperial Beach man was registered to vote at least 21 times.

In a dozen other cases, San Diego County residents reported that they never authorized voter registration cards submitted on their behalf.

“The registration filed is BOGUS,” Rancho Bernardo resident Walter Cobb wrote to complain. “Fraudulent. Signature not mine.”

The complaints all stemmed from a big voter registration push by ACORN, the low-income advocacy group fighting for its existence following an undercover sting by a conservative activist.

After the voter complaints were filed last year, the California secretary of state has opened five investigations into San Diego ACORN's voter drive.

One of them has been referred to the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, according to a letter sent to county officials Friday.

The advocacy group handled about 5 percent of the 410,000 new registered voters in the county last year. It has long been criticized for its high error rate. Last fall, 17 percent of its registrations were flagged by election officials for further review.

In the aftermath of the unrelated national sting publicized last month, which showed a National City ACORN employee providing border-crossing advice to a couple posing as a pimp and a prostitute, several Republican leaders have renewed calls for an audit of the voter drive.

The bias is so.....prevalent. ACORN acts on the behalf those earning a “low income”. They were trapped by a group of “conservative” activists. ACORN’s motives are nobel...the opposition is simply motivated by politics.

It’s almost as if Robin Hood is getting hassled by the Sheriff of Nottingham...

And where does our beloved Republican Party stand on this issue?

ANSWER - Pretty much mute on the sidelines.

When are they going to proactively pursue the corruption and illegalities by the left and their allies like Acorn? After all, the things they do are corrupt and illegal.

WHEN?

Does anyone know if the average citizen can go to the registrar’s office and either challenge or verify voter registrations?

San Diego is gaining population.

Many to high tech jobs.

San Diego just gained 9 ships from a base that closed in Texas.

We are also getting another necular aircraft carrier

and the list goes on.

"Time for public hangings."

If they stole someones horse, they can still be hung in NM. I say if they stole someones identity or faked a voters registration, that's much more serious...get a rope!
