Chicago torpedoed by anti-U.S. sentiment?

Some Chicago officials say anti-American resentment likely played a role in Chicago's Olympic bid dying in the first round Friday.

President Obama could not undo in one year the resentment against America that President Bush and others built up for years, they said.

"There must be" resentment against America, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said, near the stage where he had hoped to give a victory speech in Daley Center Plaza. "The way we [refused to sign] the Kyoto Treaty, we misled the world into Iraq. The world had a very bad taste in its mouth about us. But there was such a turnaround after last November. The world now feels better about America and about Americans. That's why I thought the president's going was the deal-maker."

As a former resident of Chicago, I think it's more relevant to be inward looking. Let's review the facts. There's a beating death of a high school student the week before the decision, Chicago is the murder capital of the US, the city has to close down several days a year, because it's broke, only city in the country with double digit sales tax and it's rising and the politicians are mostly corrupt. Why is Chicago surprised?

I thought the rule in Chicago was to count the votes first and then hold the election. They screwed up with the IOC and it says more than anything about Obozo’z ineptitude that he went to Denmark uncertain of the outcome. No Chicago politician worth his graft would ever put his reputation on the line unless the votes were already counted.

"Chicago torpedoed [INFECTED] by anti-U.S. sentiment[!]"

It is, after all, the home of Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Louis Farrakhan, "Reverend" Wright, Barack and Michelle "My Belle" Obama, and many more just like them.

Oh yes, the world hates us so much due to the evil Bush that our new Lightworker just hasn't had time yet to make everything all better.

"We inherited all of this."

Chigago and Illinois rank among the most corrupt in both categories in the nation. Not coincidentally, both are completely controlled by the Worker's Paradise promising democrat party.

The only reason Chicago did not win was the refusal to count the dead vote.

No. The dems told us the world loved Americans. It was just Bush they hated. Elect Obama and all would be well.

You mean they lied to us??

Since the Chicago 2016 Olympic bid was all about Cash 4 Cronies I am delighted that they lost.

That it also helps to wipe the smirk of the faces of certain Chicago thugs in this administration was an added bonus.

It would be hilarious if they had actually counted the votes, been told it was in the bag and the IOC pulled a switch on them.

Now that would have been a bee-och slap

Why did Chicago lose?

Simple, very simple......ACORN is NOT an international organization.

In answer to the headline question:

No, Chicago was torpedoed by an egotistical jackass and his wife, who think about nobody but themselves. (The lying probably didn't hurt either).

Yet?

See the Fox News expose The Truth About ACORN.

The thought of going international is presented.

All is not lost! Yes, the US lost the 2016 games but check out what we won:

Cleveland awarded 2014 Gay Games
Sep 29th, 2009
by Jim Buzinski.

Cleveland was awarded the 2014 Gay Games in an announcement made a minute ago in Cologne, Germany, at the Federation of Gay Games meeting. Cleveland beat out Boston and Washington D.C.

Valarie McCall, the chief of government affairs for the City of Cleveland, said the decision was “transformational” for the city. “When you come to Clev-e-land, O-hi-o, U.S.A., we will, we will, rock you,” she chanted.
