As I read it, we'll be taxed for employer provided insurance. Am I correct? Yep. Health insurance is a taxable “benefit.”

Not exactly correct - yet. They are going to have it reported so that we idiots can "see" what the government is letting us have tax free. It also allows Congress to see what they are not taxing. I would also guess that this is also a way to determine who does not have health insurance provided, so they know who to fine.

At some point in the future (not too distant future IMHO), they will already have the mechanism in place to begin taxing the benefits.

Call this pre-tax reporting.

I suppose there will be a Sales Tax on that portion of my Employer provided health Plan that I pay.
