As for me, I’m delighted that Rio got the bid.

First, cause I am Catholic and here’s a country very NOT afraid to put up a big statue of Jesus. Sure it’s a whole different world in Brazil and all but still I like it.

Second, they’re a very colorful people, very into sports, and it’s time they had a chance. what kind of colorful life would Chicago have to show the world?

Finally, South America never had an olympics? Well it’s time, you think?

So I’m pleased, frankly. I quite enjoy watching the olympics and I look forward to seeing the 2016 games.

Who else has leverage over this guy.

That is the question we all want answered.

What made the win all the more salient is that Rio is not perfect pick either. Even though they have lots more hotel rooms etc. they have a huge crime problem that may or may not be solved come 2016,no one can tell the answer to that one.

You’re right, an extremely weak lineup. Except for John Cornyn, no one I care to see.

I'm pretty sure most would opt for private health insurance after a few bad experiences with paid Medicaid.

40% of doctors do not accept Medicaid patients because their reimbursement rates are so low. They lose money on every patient, which means they have to raise the rates for everyone else.

12% of doctors don't accept Medicare patients for similar reasons. But nine out of ten Medicare recipients also have private, supplementary insurance.

Sheesh, the whole panel on Meet the Press is totally trashing Sarah Palin, even Murphy, the Republican “strategist”. He’ll read Sarah’s book, “after it’s been spell-checked”. Catty and out-of-touch beltway types. Gregory needs some better panelists for his round talble discussions.

Guess they all forgot the left praying that we would fail in Iraq.

Durban bashing our troops

Reid insisting the surge failed

Obama...ditto

Our glee was bedded in the Olympics, theirs was embedded in the lives of our troops.

Oh MY God,
Van Huevel on Stephie is saying “MCcrystal SHOULD go back and read the constitution!”

Good God, what is happening to this country.?

Watch 2 mins of this stuff...and you find yourself in Alice In Wonderland....the good news is that the Lefties are hysterical in their anxiety about Obozo getting nothing done and that is fun to watch.

The more they do that, the more inclined the fly-over people are to support her.

I ask you, who's more appealing...Murphy and Brooks or Sarah and Todd?

HA!

Well said! That is the perfect answer to the charge of the GOP being unpatriotic!

mmm...mmm...mmmm...

Barack Hussein Obama

Be very careful ... there are sanctions ahead for people who sing about their god in a public school system.

("Barry" singing)

His name was Opie, he was a poseur
He doesn't get the jist of full disclosure
He went a dancing cross the sea
on behalf of you and me
But he fell down

At the Copen...Copen-cabana
The hottest spot north of Havana
At the Copen...Copen-cabana
Self-loving passion and high styling fashion
He was in love...

Her name was MOmo, she wore a boob belt
She really didn't care how the EU felt
With feathers in her hair, a yellow dress cut up to there
Though she always tried to be a star
She didn't do well with the bar
MO looked like hell.

At the Copen...Copen-cabana
The hottest spot north of Havana
At the Copen...Copen-cabana
Self-loving passion and high styling fashion
He was in love...

Her name was Oprah, she was a slow girl
But that was a year ago when she used to have a show
Now she sits there so refined and drinks herself half blind
She's lost her couth, and is mostly phony
And now she's lost her mind

At the Copen...Copen-cabana
The hottest spot north of Havana
At the Copen...Copen-cabana
Self-loving passion and high styling fashion
He was in love...

Ever notice that Juan and Mara are paid by the taxpayer (NPR). And, Bret and Bill are paid by real, live businesses.

Thanks for the link to the SNL skit... it was surprisingly critical but couldn’t they have found somebody who looked and sounded more like Obama? Rush has great Obama impersonations.

See Carley....this is the kind of thing you have to stop laughing at.

I saw that bit as it happened on CNN, btw. Well frankly I was just as shocked. It was a hoot, eh?

anyway...as the fine bunch of libs on Meet the Press have solved the problem....the solution is NOT for the Lacklusters and Obamer to stop doing stupid things...the solution is that we should NOT laugh at them when they do them.

Please get it straight.
