Eight American soldiers and two Afghans have been killed in an attack on two outposts in remote eastern Afghanistan, the U.S. military said on Sunday.
A tribal militia launched the attack from a mosque and a nearby village in Nuristan, one of the most dangerous regions of Afghanistan, the U.S. military said in a statement. The Americans and Afghans repelled the attack and "inflicted heavy enemy casualties," the statement said.
In the U.S. statement, Col. Randy George described it as "a complex attack in a difficult area." The Taliban claimed responsibility.

Obama summoned the General to Copenhagen for a 25-minute visit and he brings his wife? Then we get this picture of the General looking at Obama but Obama looking at the floor like he doesn’t want to look him in the eye. This was pure photo-op time not a serious discussion. Gave him a whole 25-minutes before he departed Copenhagen so he could be back in DC for the night out for his anniversary.

Why is anyone on this forum defending Obama as Commander in Chief after he bowed to the Saudi King which spoke more then any words which side he has chosen? He has done nothing but bow to Muslims around the world from day one. The minute Obama quoted that Muslim prayer in the dialect and talked about the beautiful religion of Islam, should have been the day every last freedom loving American should have said NO SALE and voted against Obama.
The MSM went MIA and is still MIA on that and everything else linking Obama to radicals preferring to call all of us racist because we didn’t support the first part-black man for President who was a radical and had no experience at leading anything. Leading his campaign did not qualify.

Excellent point. Do we dare to take it a step further and ponder whether the man may actually want America to fail in Afghanistan and Iraq? His radical past would suggest that that may be the case.

Question. Who was ultimately responsible for the ROEs in Afghanistan? Why can’t the troops call in air cover?
I don’t know, it’s such a radical idea that it’s hard to contemplate. To make that leap, I would have to assume he grasps the concepts of military victory vs. military defeat. I’m not inclined to make such a leap.
We always have to keep this in mind- the president does not think of this country as a great, exceptional or remarkable nation. It’s not easy, therefore, for us to be ABLE to see his point of view(s).
Can I still use it if I do it like this?
