Acorn Housing Corp. received no funding in the latest allocations of federal money for a program that provides counseling to distressed mortgage borrowers.
Last year, the Chicago-based nonprofit was allocated federal funds that could total as much as about $25 million under the program, known as National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling. That money is paid out as the counseling is performed.
