Republicans have been ready with criticism for President Barack Obama's overnight journey to Copenhagen, where the president today pressed Chicago's case for the 2016 Olympic Summer Games -- playing booster, as the Republican National Committee put it this morning, for Obama's "Chicago Fat Cat Friends.''
RNC Chairman Michael Steele, Sen. Kit Bond of Missouri and then House Republican Leader John Boehner of Ohio all have questioned the president's priorities.
And even as the president and First Lady Michelle Obama were leaving Copenhagen this morning following their appeal to the International Olympic Committee, the Republican National Committee was circulating an email complaining of the White House's "wrong priorities" (see that below the fold.) The RNC chairman today, chiding the president for "verbal gymnastics'' in Copenhagen, noted the newest numbers on rising unemployment back home (see below as well.)
Rahm Emanuel, the Chicagoan who is chief of staff for Obama, has an answer: "You know, we'll make sure they get some good seats once Chicago does host the games.''

THE REAL LOSERS are the insider land developers who had bought up all the slums etc hoping to make a killing when they ‘sold’ the property back for the Olympic buildings etc and the UNION MUGGERS, UNION PICKPOCKETS and extortion experts who would have descended upon Chi-Town like a horde of locusts to ply their trade on the expected visitors.
This is probably the death knell for OB as it looks like he has worn out his usefulness to Chicago and Il.....

You know, I don't dispute that idea, but I just don't know if RE has any loyalties, except to himself and his brothers (who are creeps, too). He, should I say it...creeps me out.

Granted, a sinister aura seems to surround him.
I also think he is the poster boy for what we would have called Soldiers of Fortune or at the very least a (very) forward mercenary, who goes to where the wars are if not for the war, at least the adventure...much like our “Lafeyette Escadrille” or “Flying Tigers” before we opted in on the action...
Of course then one would have to assume RE is an Israeli Agent and all sorts of conspiracy theories/charges will start flying.....<: <: <:
