David Letterman, who built his career skewering philandering politicians and show business “weasels” and “boneheads,” finds himself in the middle of his own celebrity scandal, after he admitted having multiple affairs with employees of his production company, Worldwide Pants.
For the intensely private Mr. Letterman, the revelations, which resulted from a bizarre extortion attempt, are sure to be extremely embarrassing, especially as he tries to extend his lead in the late-night contest. ”I have had sex with women who work for me on this show,” he told his audience on Thursday night, calling himself “creepy.” He added that he hoped “to protect my job.”
More seriously, they raised questions for both his company and CBS about whether his actions constituted sexual harassment or at least abuse of a power relationship over employees.

This is one of the reasons the guy's been caught focusing intently on a young girl ~ he probably has few contacts with adult women ~ and there's probably a reason for that.

I have a feeling there were more than women involved. I don’t know why but that’s the way I feel. Otherwise he could have just as simply told the guy to take a hike. If the guy told his tale the results would be the same as Letterman telling it.

Me too. I worked with a gay man back about 15 years ago. He loved Letterman to the point that he taped every episode. And he was convinced Letterman was gay. If gaydar is worth anything, this story might not be quite over yet.

I wonder what Letterman’s contract with CBS says about have sexual relationships with employees? He could be in breech of contract. This thing could prove to be very interesting. Maybe Dave will have to move to France.

Hmm...well, celebrities are Special People if we are to believe that avatar of sexual ethics Whoopie Goldberg. And Special People get to live under Special Rules. CBS can always prove me wrong, but my money’s on Dave skating.
I’m in the Philippines for the next 9 months and i don’t get to see Letterman. Not that i would anyway.
But it’s interesting that he’s mocking gays. I hope one of them comes out of the woodwork and outs Letterman.
Some how thinking of him having to basically have sex with someone he pays to work for him makes perfect sense.

I see from a google search that one recent story is entitled “Worldwide Pants Unzipped.”
Karma is hitting him back after what he did to Palin’s daughter. But I do have to give him a little credit for not going along with the blackmail demands.
