Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) is taking the opposite route of most defeated presidential candidates: rather than quickly bow out of national politics, McCain is working to become a transformative force in the Republican Party, Politico reported Friday. Concerned about the GOP's direction, McCain has been recruiting and raising money for candidates who share his pragmatic center-right style.
McCain has been a particularly generous advisor to Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL), who he encouraged to run for Senate and threw a $500,000 fundraiser to support.

Any suggestions on what he should name it.”

Get out of Dodge McCain!...You’re the reason we lost!
To: AUH2O Repub
NO! We have to starve out the RINOs ASAP, then take the party back. A third party will only ensure that the Marxists are in power for ever.

I agree completely. We must have, and not fear a public debate to properly resolve the question of what it means to be a Republican. A delay in doing so will only add to our present confusion and encourage the opponents of liberty, both here and abroad.
President Lincoln famously remarked that a house divided against itself cannot stand. It was true then of the Nation and is true now of the Republican Party, whose old walls have been propped up by makeshift supports that do not match the original design and which in any event will not stand up for long against the elements.
By all means, let us settle upon and resolve the central, core beliefs that define us, and resolve to bid farewell to those who cannot bring themselves to support them, also. Reasonable people can, and do differ about many things, but those are not the sort of issues upon which we need demand conformity. Rather on the overarching principles: free enterprise, limited government, a strong military, sound money, secure borders - to suggest a few - I believe the discussion must be had and the battle joined.

yep guys, ole jm and the rin-o-p are enough to piss me off before I even click on the thread these days...
I keep 'expecting' some return to sanity, at least a little bit, from these tool fools, but I see that we will be the reason that the bambam and his evil commie bastard minions sweep 2010 and setup their 'rule for life'...
not that our sore noses made any bit of diff in yrs past, actually WE prolly are to blame for holding our friggin noses and allowing the 'creeping' of the commies instead of forcin their hand 20+ yrs ago...
oh well, before I forget to do so...

We can return the GOP to its conservative roots, but only if conservatives stay registered as Republicans and vote for conservative candidates in the primary elections.
Splitting the conservative vote is the Democrat and RINO plan.

Not one more penny to anyone who does not acknowledge Sarah Palin as the leader of the Republican Party! Roger that. Not one dime; not one vote; not even the time of day.

Gilbo ol’ buddy, I think the Dems are toast in 2010 no matter what. They’ve pissed off and pissed on so many people that they will have their heads beaten in at the polls.
Not that the RINOs will be any better if thats what the GOP pukes up to us. But at the very least, I think the tide shifted.
That said - I WON’T accept a RINO as a candidate. Again, I will write in Sarah.
This “Failure of OLYMPIC Proportions” today (damn, I amaze myself) shows what a P*ssy this two-bit wannabe Mugabe is; he just got bent over and p’wned by the limp-d*cks at the IOC, for crying out loud.
Might be wrong, but I don’t think so.

Huh?
The “moderates” have already “remade” the party, we’re trying to change it back.

"Without Gov. Palin, your defeat would have rivaled Mondale's and McGovern's."I doubt BH could get 60% of the vote under any circumstance. Even if he had picked Lieberman people were scared enough of Obama to not stay home in high enough numbers for that. I would have voted third party instead in that instance though.

well dude, i'll vote my conscience, for a Representative of my overall views, and to hell with the whiney rineys...
that said, with the efforts that this moron mccaaaaaain is makin to keep the mushy middle soaked in its own snot & tears, I have my doubts that the comms are really hurt yet...
once their Billions of campaign $$$ start to flow, and the ever escalating degree of UNchecked corruption/thievery is in play, I think they will prolly laugh all the way to incumbancy...
kinda cynical today, but hey, its early yet...

Are you serious! Socialist light McCamnesty wants to remake the party in his image and you still actually want to stay with the party? The Conservative train left the OP(formerly the GOP) station a long time ago and it's not coming back.
Splitting the conservative vote is the Democrat and RINO plan.
The OP split the vote when it abandon Conservatism. You're better off beating your head against a brick wall than expecting the party leadership to once again embrace Conservatism.
