You have every right to be mad, Chicago. Something smells rotten in Denmark, and the stench is making everybody hold their noses on this side of the Atlantic. Honk if you hate the IOC process.
This was the most frustrating defeat in Chicago's recent sports history.
This beats them all, worse the Cubs getting swept by the Dodgers in the 2008 Divisional Playoffs or the Bears losing to the Colts in Super Bowl XLI. This is worse than your favorite No. 1 seed being knocked out in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
At least we know how they keep score in those games. Runs. Touchdowns. Baskets.
Does anybody really know what the IOC weighted in selecting Rio de Janeiro as the host city for 2016 and making Chicago the first city to get eliminated? How can a bid considered by many Olympic experts even outside Cook County to be the best bid ever put together by a U.S. city come in fourth out of four?
Finishing second to Rio would have hurt but been easier to justify and understand. But fourth? Why, exactly?
We don't know now and probably never will. We are left to speculate.
An anti-American sentiment still exists that even a rock-star president and his wife or the world's talk-show queen couldn't overcome. Chicago's bid featured too much glitz and not enough grit. The final presentation Friday morning, even with President Obama delivering an eloquent speech, fell flat.
All have been offered since 10:32 a.m. Friday as plausible explanations for Chicago's early ouster. All may or may not have factored into the decision-making process of the 95 IOC members who KO'd Chicago in the first round.
But 18 measly votes? The "American Idol," voting process seems scientific in comparison.

I thought the Obama followers hated winners. Don’t they think everyone should have the same opportunities?
If it had gone the other way, and Chicago had been ‘awarded’ the 2016 Games, there would have been NO question, none at all, about the IOC process. Sorry pack of losers.
The Obama administration summed up nicely.
There aren't any ACORN offices in Denmark though... Oh I know what it is... B.O.
Chicago would have won the vote in Denmark today if they would have had Cook County election officials doing the counting.
Chicago seems to think that it is entitled. Maybe that is why the OIC rejected them.
They should have seen this coming when the Green Bay Packers beat them in the season opener on National TV.
Having a video of some of the fine, upstanding citizens of Chicago beating an honor student to death posted on the internet didn’t help their case any.
Maybe they don’t actually LIKE a “rock star president.” Maybe they are anti-America NOT because of Bush but because they are jealous of our superpower status. And it doesn’t matter who the President is.
And maybe Obama has always been successful due to corruption that he could not achieve in Copenhagen, where there is no Acorn.
The author has a point. Obama’s thugs prefer games where no one but them knows how to keep score.
Thanks for the laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TRANSLATION: Bush’s fault
Well, I am not all wee weed up, thats for sure.
This country is sinking fast..and Obamass is worried about games? Tend to the war, young people are dying!!

I can’t think of two entities that deserve each other more, the IOC and Obama. They both suck to the max.
So Obama was dissed to his face. Boo hoo...
Take the blue pill.
I'm shocked that the IOC didn't appreciate the opportunity to worship at the feet of Fearless Leader???
I could be mistaken, but I thought I heard somewhere that the people of Chicago didn’t really want the Olympics.....oh wait.......silly me. Since when do the people get what they want?
