“Nothing dies with food in it’s stomach.. never happens”

Did you forget sarcasm tag?

Of course things die with food in stomach, ask pathologist, Dr. Michael Baden

It never ceases to amaze me, how intelligent human beings keep insisting that we evolved from non-intelligence, through a long history of developement. That presumption is not an intelligent one. Please stop insulting the intelligence of even the average thinking human being. If you are satisfied with being just a little above the apes or along side them fine, not me. I am just a little below the angels, unique in all of creation.

Yes, those millions of silly "scientists" with degrees in that silly "anthropology" and "biology" and that silly "life sciences" and billions of "artifacts."

Just like them uppity "chemists" and "physicists" and "astronomers" who try to shove their silly and fanciful notions, built on that silly "scientific method" and all, down the throats of people who are filled with thoughtfulness.

We know people who can use Google and a web browser are the real experts and can use their amazing Powers Of Thoughting to pierce the veil of flim-flammery.

I and all of humanity owe you a great debt of gratitude! Thank you for being so thoughtful-filled to bring this to our attention!

Silly "scientists" -- what were they thinking?

it is THE find that will change the way we see evolution from now on (keep those grants coming, doncha know).

Much better that science remains static and not mess with things it doesn't already know. That worked for China and the Middle East -- great models of cultural and technological success.

Here is one of the ways we know that they were 'big toe' walkers. You think Lucy was the only australopithecus find? You think that there are not fossils of their feet from other specimens? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14922303/

The discovery of the behaviors of either a more sexually active or a less sexually active primate does nothing to tell a human being how they should live their life.

Yes, that's right. Too bad the liberals I've had the misfortune to run into don't see i that way.

Gibbons pair up, keep all other Gibbons away, and have 100% sexual fidelity to the other. Why would they be less of an example to emulate than a bonobo? And how stupid would one have to be to think these biologically determined behavior patterns are based upon “social constructs” or “culture”?

Stupid enough to go to a certain University, apparently.

Cheers!

One foot is almost complete, providing the first time scientists have found an afarensis foot with the bones still positioned as they were in life, Spoor said.

That makes it much easier to imagine the “right” kind of feet.

The fellow in the background has just found a message written in the ash, “Australopithecus was here”. Unfortunately the date was left off.

If you have a pic of the afarensis foot bones I'd like to see it. Here's a pic, which appears to be a fully human print for your viewing.

I was afraid people might interpret my post incorrectly. It is not your fault...it is mine. I am a Darwinist...been that way since a teenager. The point that I (feebly) attempted to make is the hyperventilation from the scientists who make the find...a few generations of Leakeys are good examples.

The people good at finding fossils may NOT be the best at interpreting their importance...

Me too on the Darwinist thing.

Good point on just because you know how to find something does not mean you know what it means.

Could be applied to lots of other disciplines as well.

No question...the search for the “missing link” is a false quest at any rate.

Well, it looks like a flesh wound and now the real enemy knows we have some wicked weaponry.

(On these threads ya gotta be over the top -- REALLY over the top to have your sarcasm/humor understood. Too may people post to these threads completely believing what they say when then content would be considered high humor elsewhere -- sorry, amigo).

A lesson I re-learn all too many times: The Internet kills nuance and sarcasm. Someone needs to invent fonts that convey both...
