Sometimes, patriotism can be awkward. Especially when it means admitting to an international TV audience that your nations broken health care system forced you onto welfare, into adult diapers, and hobbling with a walker. And all before the age of 30.
Embarrassing perhaps, but for Canadian Lin Gilbert, the time had come to share her story publicly this week. Especially after her 15-year-old son was recently diagnosed with the same health condition leading to her suffering. As a parent, I will do anything to help him. I will borrow the money, I will do whatever it takes, she said. If the Canadian system cant take care of him, Ill find a way.

Imagine that! People actually taking responsibility for their own welfare instead of waiting for the gubmint to take care of them. It’ll never fly... /s
True. If we screw up our health care system, where will Canadians go?
Once upon a time I lived in Canada.. I set an appointment with an Ophthalmologist and they set an appt 4 months from the time I requested it! Luckily someone canceled and I got in at the one month later, but boy do I really feel for Canucks and their bloated, wasteful health care system (from Texas myself). Long lines, coupled with the Govt telling you who you can see and who you can’t = HELL.
Anyway the doc whisked me out of his office in about 3 minutes from seeing him and suggested I “Google” my condition myself! A real “wham bam thank you ma’am” kind of doc.
