I’m glad this list is growing.

I’m real curious about Beck’s “refounders” - last I saw, he had 5 signed up.

This thing is geared towards people themselves finding candidates and bringing them to the table...people who are already running down to the local level (which is where we have to start) who are willing to swear that they will support our twelve principles and incact them into law if elected.

If we build a large enough block of voters (who also swear to support those same principles and vote for candidates who do likewise), then we will take our nation back one county, one city, and one state at a time.

Tim Walberg of Michigan would make a nice addition to the list. I’ll see if I can get someone from his campaign on the phone.

BTW he’s holding a town hall meeting with Joe Wilson tomorrow.

Hey Jeff,
Great work!

What about Mike Pence of Indiana?
I’ll send him an email today, and contact his office, about signing on.

Thanks for your dedication.

Great! Have them take a look at that site and the principles...if they swear to suppor them, we will support those candidates. Also, sign on yourselves and ask others to sign on, and we’ll build a voting block and find candidates who we can elect and will not go and play footsies with the left...but will take America back

Read the principles...if they fulfill the oath they are taking to support those principles in law, then I expect every one of them will.

A real plus would be to get judges who follow these.

Most congress will either turn into prostitutes, or quit after a few years. It’s almost a necessaty to survive.
The 1990s contract for america called for congressional term limits and I am convinced that that is our only hope.

And our hopes are not just that the republican party wins again. We already saw that.

It has to people who are principled and sworn to abide those constitutional principles. If they keep that oath, we want them in...if they break it, we kick them out.

The effort is for any candidate, including Judges. For those appointed Judges, as this list of candidates come into office, they will appoint judges to follow suit.

Constitutionalists need to ally themselves against the democrats and the republicans who have forgotten that they serve we the people and the constitution.

Amen. But there are plenty of GOP members who are willing to do that. This effort seeks to find constitionally principled candidates, GOP or otherwise, and then bind them to the constitution through twelve specific, fundamental principles that they swear to uphold. If they will do that, we don't care where they come from. The cream will rise to the top.

here in Idaho, many of the GOP candidates are constitutionally principled and willing to take this oath. Those who are unwilling to do so are not worthy of our vote.

RE :”It has to people who are principled and sworn to abide those constitutional principles. If they keep that oath, we want them in...if they break it, we kick them out.

I was very hopeful in 1994 and the freshman 1995 congress was the best in my lifetime, but after a number of years it went to hell in a handbacket, the good ones left, the bad ones stayed. And talk radio rallied behind GWB.

What also happens is you get to a primary, and R president campaigns for liberal pork project Spector against conservative Toomey because Spector has the best chances of winning. Then you get to the general election, and the drumbeat even out of conservative talk radio (Hannity, Levin and to a lesser extent Rush, since 2006 anyway) is “Republicans must win at any cost, even if they suck”.(You saw that last fall with McCain)

Progressive Liberals like MSNBC Ed Schulz are doing similar soul searching now about defeating Blue Dog democrats over public option, but if successful, they will just loose more seats. The moderate liberals s like Chris Mathews will say “Democrats at any cost”

We have to keep the pressure on these people. We have shown+ taht we can...and are showing now with the Health Care monstrosity that they are attempting to pass. The dmes have an absolute majority in both the House and Senate...but the people's outcry is so large and forceful, that they are not going to be able to bring forward what they want openly. They will try and back door everything...but the people are watching. If they do...I believe 2010 is going to blow them away.

The GOP candidates recognize this too and not one of them (at least to date) is climbing onboard.

but that's just because they fear the people (many of them anyway-there are some very good reps up there).

Anyhow, we, as a people, need to always pay this close attention to keep it from slipping away. I believe we have to do it as they come into office too, DEMANDING that they take solid positions on principle and only voting for those who take that position, and then prove it in office. otherwise, we vote them out.

As a people we can do this...in fact, we MUST do this or we end up sliding away from principle, away from the constitituion and towards a loss of freedom and abject socialism and marxism. Which is exctly what is happening.

Anyhow, this efforts premise is simple. get the people focused on clearly defined, fundamental constitutional principle first and foremost, and sopporting those principles, then have them vote only for candidates who swear to do the same, inacting or supporting those principles in law if elected...and nothing more.

I am not disagreeing with your ideas to try.

As long as the motto is “Republicans must win even if they suck”, it wont work once they get power(progressives can make a similar argument) .

Being 'out of power' always results in soul searching, but 'being in power' results in selling out. Voters are very susceptible to promises of free services, last year that is all they really wanted. It is the republican election disasters that are finally making voters question that, like in 1993.

Did I hear correctly that all of the Re-Founders are supposed to be Members of Congress? If that's the case, I have an idea who one of them may be, but he is despised by the many Neocons on this forum.

Too bad Beck won't release the names on the list...how can we support them if we don't know who they are?
