On Wednesday, the House Financial Services Committee held a hearing on the proposed Consumer Financial Protection Agency (example #12,567 that government’s solution to any problem is more government.) Appearing on a panel of self-appointed ‘consumer advocates’ was Anna Burger, political director for SEIU, a.k.a ACORN’s big brother.
Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) used his question time to ask Ms. Burger about ACORN. She drops a stunner, “SEIU has cut all ties to ACORN.” Watch the video below:

ACORN and SEIU are the same organism. Trying to parse them is just mis-direction, just trying to blow fog over the landscape to sneak away.
Self Preservation is a strong instinct. The problem I see is that a bunch of ACORN people will likely appear elsewhere doing the same things. The up side is that it will take time.
I suspect before long they will BOTH be under that bus (”acorn has problems? Well tan my hide, I had NO idea. Oh, say hi to Granny, hillary, Van and all the rest under there”)
Now, when they are both there, I want to be the driver that has the gear shift to D for a second or so then R for a second or so and then D for a second or so...

I find it very interesting that the SEIU rep wanted to stress taht there 2was supposedly *no* connection with ACORN in Illinois (Chicago) for over the last two years....Something that makes me go Hmmmmmmmmm.
