NEW YORK Michael Vick is back with Nike more than two years after the company severed ties over the quarterback's involvement in a dogfighting ring.
The managing director of the agency that represents Vick announced the deal Wednesday while participating on a panel at the Sports Sponsorship Symposium. Michael Principe of BEST referred questions to Vick's agent, Joel Segal, who did not return calls from The Associated Press.
Segal told SportsBusiness Journal that Vick will wear Nike shoes, gear and apparel, but would not reveal the terms of the agreement
"Mike has had a great relationship with Nike and is excited to be part of the Nike team again," Segal said.
The deal is the latest step forward for Vick as he seeks to rehabilitate his career and his image after serving 18 months in federal prison. On Sunday, Vick played his first regular-season game since December 2006.

Real shocker there.
I did a long time ago. I buy New Balance shoes which are a superior product and made in the USA.
When that happens, the only question that will remain is - Will NIKE drown him, or electrocute him?
I would like to see the advertising demographics that shows a preference for a convicted animal abuser as a rep. of a shoe/apparel company...and, if the preference is there, do you really want to be known as the company going after that niche?
New Balance. I’ll try to remember that.
My thoughts exactly. This isn’t what you’d call a brilliant marketing decision.
Yep. New Balance is really comfortable.
“When that happens, the only question that will remain is - Will NIKE drown him, or electrocute him? “
Can we do both?
What a despicable piece of trash this guy is. To call him an animal is to insult his victims.
People just get dumber and dumber.
I just resigned with Adidas!
I’ll step out on a limb and defend Vick here (even though i’m a die hard Mountaineer).
He did his time, that’s for sure, and if he had did what he did in the same geographical area, a couple centuries earlier (race notwithstanding), he would have been respected, or at least not thought of as out of the ordinary.
I really don’t quote the Bible much, but it’s pretty clear on the point that depriving a man of his grindstone is as good as killing him.
If he can rebound, I say more power to him, and best of luck.
""I swear to God I'll f***ing take this ball and shove it down your f***ing throat! Do you hear me? I swear to God. You better be glad--you better be f***ing glad that I'm not, I swear."
Nike also stands behind this animal 100%.
My father always told me to never trust people who don’t like animal.
The first ad will probably show him stepping into a huge pile of dog carp with his Nike shoes then embracing and rolling on the ground playing with the dog who dropped it while angels sing in the background.
This is second to Coke changing there formula. Pure suicide.
Wow you sound like your proud to have a dog killer on your team. Glad he doesn’t play for my team.
You’re right on about New Balance shoes. They are by far the best shoes I have worn in a long time. They take a lot of abuse and last.
