WASHINGTON, Sept 30 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama said on Wednesday his administration was "deeply committed" to passing a new energy law that would set caps on greenhouse gas emissions, welcoming a new Senate proposal on the issue.
"With the draft legislation they are announcing today, we are one step closer to putting America in control of our energy future and making America more energy independent," Obama said in a statement, referring to a bill introduced by Senators John Kerry and Barbara Boxer.
"My Administration is deeply committed to passing a bill that creates new American jobs and the clean energy incentives that foster innovation," he said. (Reporting by Jeff Mason; Editing by David Storey)

My A$$ we’ll make our country more energy independent.
Does anyone else get the impression that perhaps our dear leader has finally figured out he isn’t up for the job and that’s why he keeps running off here and there? OR, it’s almost like he’s a whiny teenager who didn’t get his way, so he’ll just run off somewhere else.
Apparently, he's hell bent on sinking our struggling economy and sending remaining jobs to India/China.

Wasting taxpayer dollars and destroying the country in hopes of changing the weather. What the hell is that teleprompter plugged in to? Stonehenge? Can’t we just sacrifice a ‘RAT politician once a week to the weather gods?
I think it’s time to consider jail terms for Obama and Congress as well as getting them out of office.
Obamacare, Cap and Tax, the Stimulus, the defunding of the military and unilateral disarmament, and global financial regulation will all lead to the death of the United States. That death is something that Obamarx is “deeply committed to.”
These people are out of their minds.
And liars to boot.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no conventional way to stop them.
Time is running out.
Who would have believed that we would go so wrong so fast? Eight years ago anyone would have laughed at the thought.
Meanwhile, the media tries to act like this presidency is just like any other presidency, just, you know, slightly more tan.
