PASADENA, Texas Authorities say a Houston-area woman who was burned up at her former common-law husband fried their pet goldfish and ate some of them.
Mitchell says the two argued earlier about some jewelry the man had given her but took back. She wanted the jewelry returned.
Officers who were dispatched to the woman's home arrived to find four fried goldfish on a plate. The woman said she already ate the other three.

Hmm...yeah, I guess you got a point. So what kind of wine goes with scorpion? A brisk little chablis or something a little more likely to clear the palate, like sulfuric acid?
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that these two did not find each other on eHarmony.com
“Ewww She ate carp - dirtiest fish there is. I wonder if she knows that?”
The Jews love them!
When I was a little kid I used to catch them in Echo Park lake in Los Anfeles and sell them to the jews.
A scorpion eater would probably skip the wine and go for Scorpion Vodka instead. :-)
Not if properly prepared. It is a bony fish, and some people just don't like that, but if harvested from clean water and fixed properly it's not bad. When I was a kid, we'd pull carp out of the Clarion River in NW Pennsylvania and soak the filets in diluted beer overnight. Fried up, they taste a lot like catfish.
While stationed in Germany, I was delighted to find that in parts of Germany Karpfen Blau (Blue Carp) was considered a delicacy.
“The police found trace elements of buttermilk and flour at the scene, leading them to charge her with battery.”
Still, in the larger scheme of things, the scale of this crime is small.
Her lawyer referred to the investigation as a fishing expedition.
Actually, a dry white goes better.
I speak from experience.
How does this differ from Michael Vick’s crime?
Goldfish don't wag their tail when they're happy?
:)I know a woman who burned her husband’s mother’s Christmas present in the back yard.Who thinks of these things? Hehehehe
Mmmmm, Fish and Chips.
I have been thinking that my giant yellow koi would feed me for a meal or two if I lose my job!
Are they easy to give away? He produced babies with either the goldfish or a new butterfly koi I put in there, this past spring. He could use a great big pond and we can enjoy the small babies for another year.
I was thinkign the same thing. In Boulder, a woman getting back at her beau, taped the puppy to the fridge and was charged with animal cruelty.
So, did you use an accelerant such as gasoline or lighter fluid to help it along?
“Are they easy to give away?”
You just have to find someone with a bigger pond, who is willing to take a big, beautiful fish for free.
Though, in fairness it would be nice if they paid you something.
The Koi I have to give away are easily worth hundreds of dollars.
Ok, so the woman is 29 and they have a 5 year old child together - and he was at his girlfriends house before coming home to the common law wife....ok....
Silly broad, goldfish are supposed to be eaten cold - like sushi.
Oh no, killing a baby, in the womb anyway, is perfectly ok, it’s the killing of fish that’s abhorrent.
