>What happened? Did “Fantasy #3” come true?

Yep.

#3) Congress undermines ALL jurisprudence, and in defiance of the Constitution itself, by passing Ex Post Facto laws.

{Retroactive Immunity Repeal, AIG Bonuses...}

We ALL should be busy getting ready to clean house in 2010.

If we fail that, we could be in for a very bad next few years.

Did you notice that the Constitution appoints the President to be the commander in chief?

That ALONE could solve our problems with our non-representing Representatives... though we’d have to make that Amendment 11 so they couldn’t weasel out of it should they become cliquish again.

” suspect that a large number of them will do what their officers tell them and few of them realize just how bad the zero really is. After all, how much did you pay attention to politics when you were 20 years old?”

Sorry, but I totally disagree with your assessment of our military. They know absolutely what is going on. Many have now fought on a battlefield and are ready to return to support their brothers and sisters. But, if things started to happen to their families back home, they’d find a way to get back here, and do some clean up themselves.

...and requires him to swear an oath to PROTECT AND DEFEND that very same Constitution?

This guy is in the process of mangling it beyond all recognition.

"That was a dumb*ss 19 year old punk Kentucky national guardsman."

When I was 19 I was in the service. It was 30 years ago and I can't at this point say what exactly I would have done at that time. My point is that we were all "dumb*ss 19 year old punk Kentucky national guardsmen" only from Colorado.

>A free country is only as free as our weakest 50%.

Bullshit!
A country’s ‘weakest’ 50% STILL outnumbers its rulers, for if it doesn’t then the country will soon cease to be.

It looks like Newsmax and John L. Perry are now officially members of the Keepers Of Odd Knowledge Society (KOOKS).

Yes, Really.

If some members of the military were to attempt to overthrow the current government, those people would, if they were lucky would spend the rest of their years breaking rocks at the brig.

We didn’t do it when Carter was President and won’t do it now.

Other than comparitive leftist stupidity, Carter never was a totalitarian threat to our liberty, nobama has shown a perpensity to that goal, to which patriotic military would and should respond IMHO.

“After all, how much did you pay attention to politics when you were 20 years old?”

I was an associate member of the Republican Central committee and was a full member from the time I was 22 until I was 40.

My political education started in a high chair and activity started when was 7 stuffing envelopes in the U S Senators office and home.

“Carter was a Naval Officer. Obama is a community organizer.
Big difference.”

True, but - commies are as commies do. No difference between Carter and Obama regarding communism and commie goals.

Texas and maybe Louisiana secede and the marxist in chief issue orders to bring them back.

As I recall from US History, those states did secede and it did not work out all that well for them.

And Louisiana as its own country?

You must be joking.

Obama and the communists in charge in DC get completely out of control and States start to refuse to comply.
Texas and maybe Louisiana secede and the marxist in chief issue orders to bring them back.

Senior military commanders instead round up the reds (the “progressive congressional caucus” for starters) and put them on a couple of planes to Cuba.

Provisional military government for 6 months, then new elections for all congressional seats and the WH, incumbents need not apply.

Only tax paying citizens and veterans are enfranchised in the new Republic.

All amendments other than the original bill of rights are repealed.

“Dueling” legalized within Washington DC limits.

Problem solved
___________________

I LIKE your solution to the problem — but once you get past the President ordering the military to deal with the rogue states, it becomes less realistic.

I think if the states DID that today — perhaps not secede, but simply reimplement the Tenth Amendment, and refuse to send taxes to Washington until they comply, THEN the scenario might work out a bit different. It might even succeed... But there are a LOT of “ifs” in ANY scenario we can imagine...

That’s what more and more are worried about before the 2010 elections. :(
