That is the average, some go later. Weight is a factor. Need to be at least 105 pounds if Caucasian.

I've been dreading this day. Call me an old fuddy-duddy, but darn it, she's just a kid, and I wouldn't mind her staying that way just a bit longer. Mine are in their 20s now, but a decade ago I found it useful to show potential suitors my weapons collection.

From personal experience, I felt betrayed by my body (and my boy friends) when I hit puberty. I just wanted to play football, swim, and be my regular tomboy self. It was so hard for me to understand why the boys that always wanted me on their football team suddenly wanted me on their team for a different reason. Tackle football turned into 'grab her boobs!'. Not an easy time for a young girl who just wanted to be a young girl.
Please tell your sons that puberty is just as hard, if not harder, for young ladies. And to respect them in every way possible.
