TALLAHASSEE -- Gov. Charlie Crist is a Republican.
But in so many ways, you wouldn't know it -- from championing felon rights to backing the federal stimulus package, he's bucked his party's agenda until now.
Crist welcomed President Barack Obama to the Sunshine State with open arms seven months ago.
The president was here to campaign for the stimulus.
That was then and this is now.
"There are concerns that we have about the direction of this administration," Crist said on CNN.
Crist said the country won't vote for Obama again.
The governor even hit national news Tuesday morning to talk up his opinion.
News 13 caught up with him in Tallahassee.
We asked: "Why the change of heart?"
"The people chose President Obama, and they wanted change, but I think they're getting more change than maybe they bargained for." Crist said. "and there may be a little bit of buyer's remorse as it relates to the expansive growth of government."
Hope, change and yes we can.
It was Obama's campaign message, and now Crist wants to make it his.

That’s because the so called “moderates” are lying bottom feeding scum.
The only times they step out of the big tent is when they pander to conservatives for votes or to chuck a rock at our heads.
Guys like Crist are nothing but leftnut infiltrators into the Republican Party. They serve no function besides helping the opposition. Call them spies or Manchurian candidates; they are the enemy.

The fact that he declined to run for a 2nd term as Governor shows how weak he is. I honestly don’t see this clown winning the primary, much less the general election. People are mad and they’re mad at Republicans too. GOP thinks they can capitalize on the Tea Parties and grassroots anger at big government but it’s not going to translate into votes.
California Charlie is just doing his job.. that is, to say anything that will get him elected. Whats in a name anyway? not much apparently

Not much difference between the parties these days. I send my money to conservatives, not republicans.
He didn’t have a problem with Obama when he was pimping porkulus. Virtually all politicians are opportunists, but he’s in a class with Obama, Kerry, the Clintons, and Romney.
