Oh joy. Please God, help us relocate by then.....

COLOGNE, Germany — The Federation of Gay Games announced this afternoon that Cleveland will be the site of the 2014 games.

The city was chosen over Boston and Washington, D.C., after a year-long site-selection process, the organization said in a news release issued at 1 p.m.

"Cleveland demonstrated to the Federation of Gay Games that they understood the mission of the Gay Games and our principles of ‘Participation, Inclusion, and Personal Best’," said Kurt Dahl, of Chicago, and Emy Ritt, of Paris, FGG Co-presidents.

I think having the Browns this year is bad enough punishment. No way Cleveland should have this indignity on top of it.

Not the MOST liberal place in America. San Francisco would be far more logical.

But Cleveland has the suburb Lakewood. It's where are the boys hang out. And the biker babes.

There was a club in the Flats that I used to go to - I can’t recall the name (it’s been 25 years - yikes!). They had a lot of live shows there, sponsored by the big rock station at the time (WMMS). I also recall a little place out in Lakewood - the Detroit Tavern. It was a “dive” - a hole in the wall, but they had 50 cent drafts and a certain type of cute but tough local girls I was into at the time...

Mayor’s hair caught on fire when he was smoking a cigar

Actually Ralph Perk was cutting a ribbon for some trade show and they had him use a cutting torch since the ribbon was metal. Sparks went into his hair.

And here I thought Pittsburgh getting the G20 was a fustercluck.

The "Burgh's new motto: "At least we're not Cleveland".

Sad when your whole being and existence are defined by your mental illness.

"Gay Games generate $50 million to $80 million in estimated local economic impact in addition to significant ongoing travel and tourism visibility benefits for the host city," the FGG said in the news release.

Is that positive economic impact or negative economic impact?

WTH happened to the once-great city of Cleveland? Hosting the weenie puffer's convention is a new low.

ROFLAMO!!

YEAH.. THAT WAS GREAT..Cleveland has so many jokes in a laugh at itself...some of the goofiness comes from the immigrants...
But those jokes are best said by clevelanders..kind of like only the family can joke about its members.

That looks like Nick Mileti trying to "help" him there. :)

Great! /sarc

The rump-rangers will be invading from all over the world, and there's gonna be "dancin' in the streets".

Cleveland is a cesspool of crime now, so we'll see how it responds to the faggot-invasion.

I was just going to post that. We had the “bike races” out here, totally screwed up traffic. Don’t even want to think about what will happen in 2016....

That's right - Fagan's is right at the mouth of the river on the east bank IIRC. Might still be there. There was another bar along Old River Road, opposite side of the street. I can't remember the name, but it was there in the late 1970's / early 1980's and they did have live music. Things were a lot looser back then (notice, I said looser, not "loser" :-) ).

There's a place on the west side of the river, up a block or two called The Harbor Inn that had several dart boards upstairs and many brands of beer available. I wonder if they're still there. It was an older place, not one of the "touristy" places like Nautica or Shooters'.

Got kicked out of the Agora once. Well, actually, my buddies got kicked out and since they had the car, I had to leave as well.

I work in Mayfield Hts in the area behind the Old Landerhaven CC. It is now an office complex. Would rather be in FL...tho the $ is not bad.
