Just another idiot trying to get publicity for himself off of Beck's coattails. What makes these morons think that anyone cares anything about what they think?

The great thing about Beck is that he is an equal opportunity offender. He hurts the left, the right, the GOP, the Rats, etc., and he could care less.

No, this guy is wrong. I like both Levin and Beck. Bottom line is that Beck is doing serious damage, and they are attacking to try to stop or slow the damage. Levin has a very powerful message and powerful book, but they are ignoring it hoping it is contained to existing conservatives and few others. They ignored Beck when he was only on the radio and HLN, but once he moved to Fox, got huge ratings and started very effectively to pick apart the Obama Myth, they started attacking. First, they just casually started throwing his name in the same sentence as Rush and Hannity. Then after his started his indepth documentation of the czars and ACORN a few weeks ago, they pulled out the heavy guns they typically reserve for Limbaugh. Limbaugh has been highly effective for 20+ years. We saw the rise of the House GOP in the 90s and a GOP majority in this decade, in no small part due to Limbaugh’s influence and critical eye on the media.

Today, Beck is literally picking apart this administration, and doing it to big cable ratings. He can’t be ignored at this stage.

Yawn.

Yet another hack who is trying to get attention by nipping at the heels of one of the big dogs.

It’s pathetic really.

Dan Riehl is a former marketing professional in the technology industry turned blogger/new media consultant.

You know, the last time I heard from someone who wanted me to take him and his opinions seriously, found out he was simply a guy *turned blogger*, it was that goof-ball, Perez Hilton.

This guy is confused and wildly jealous. Glen Beck is , indeed, harmful to the good-old boy republican establishment, (may they all die in the carcass of a flea infested camel). As one familiar with his business, I salute his talent and diligence. Glen Beck is the fulfillment of prophecy. Joseph Smith once said, "Even this nation will be on the verge of crumbling to pieces and tumbling to the ground and when the Constitution is on the brink of ruin this people will be the staff upon which the nation shall lean and they shall bear the Constitution away from the very verge of destruction." and "The time would come when the constitution and government would hang by a brittle thread and would be ready to fall into other hands but this people the latter-day saints will step forth and save it."

A jackal barking at the lion's feet.

All this angst is because Beck has gone off the GOP reservation and has embraced some Ron Paul-style ideas. Personally, I'm ok with that. The GOP establishment isn't because it represents a very basic threat to their monopoly on the party apparatus.

Elitist Republicans can't stand Glenn Beck, because he is awakening the conservative base.

Elitist Republicans do not want Cpservatives to unify and take back the Republican PArty. And they will act to do the same to Palin as they attempt to do to Beck.

You will hear no apologies from us conservatives Mr Riehl about who we are and what we will do.We are coming for you. Take the back seat, or get out of the car and go join your progressive friends. You cannot shape us any more.

After what Beck and Breitbart have uncovered about ACORN alone tells me that people who Criticize Beck are liberals themselves at best and communists at worst. Beck has done good work, I am a relative new watcher to Beck, having only been watching him for about 3 months, but see none of the “clownishness” that some attribute to him. He lays out his facts and presents them, yes, he uses a little drama sometimes but this only enhances the facts he is trying to get across.

Dan, anyone who thinks the "Tea Parties" got their momentum from BUSH needs a lobotomy. Yes, people were concerned about spending and bailouts under Bush.

But that concern didn't turn to FEAR under Bush---it turned to FEAR under Obama.

And who says a racist can't simultaneously have self-guilt? Some of the biggest "gay bashers" were . . . well, homosexuals.

What I do know is that Beck gets results that independently some of these other movements and or videos would NOT attract. No, he didn't start the Tea Party movement, but he did successfully publicize it. And his show kind of became the media vehicle for the movement.

I STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH BECK'S SILLY NOTION THAT "IT'S ABOUT BOTH PARTIES." IT IS NOT! There were no mass marches against Bush, not even against the bailouts. Bush's policies were bad, but they were not motivated by a hatred of America as are Obama's and the SOONER BECK GETS OFF THIS "BOTH PARTIES DO IT" CRAP, the more effective he will be.

IMHO, the Beck/Levin comes down to this.

Levin wrote a defining book, one which will be remembered.
Levin is not an off-the-cuff guy, he’s a plodder, he works very hard for what he produces.
Levin is also a lawyer, so, as a professional, he can’t imagine not sighting source material.
Levin’s work has purposely been blacked out by the media, because they are justifiably threatened by it.

Beck is a showman.
While I agree with a lot of what Beck says he often says it in a manner so overdramatized that I find myself tuning out.
Beck also does subtly co-opt other people’s work.
This is just his manner and the way he conducts himself as a showman, right or wrong.

However, when Beck, the showman, subtly co-opts the work of Levin, the professional plodder, I can understand Levin becoming justifiably upset.

Levin’s work is pivotal and it is ignored.
Having someone with a microphone as big as Beck’s use that work and use it uncredited IS a big slap in the face.

If everyone is supposed to be on the same side then I would submit that it is upon Beck to invite Levin on his show and interview him about his book and how important it is.

If Beck does not do this then the people who consider him a loose canon in the movement are more correct than not.

Just my opinion.

The guy hates Beck so much it affects his writing. Take a look at this:

"And piggybacking on the efforts of others, Beck has displayed tremendous marketing ability, or his handlers have, in making the absolute best use of it... He deserves praise and full credit for that.

So he piggy-backed on others and his handlers have marketed him well, yet Beck deserves full credit. Interesting.

The author needs to point his admittedly weak verbal weapon at the enemy, not at his fellows in the trenches.

I agree with the internment camp stuff. I read the bill, and it was clear it was not what it was pushed to be by some.

But, the rest of this article doesn’t make sense. Beck has done a great deal of good.

Beck is no Levin or Limbaugh when it comes to original thought true. Still, does it matter that Breitbart came to Beck with the ACORN video. And his 9/12 project, as campy as it was, is about a year old. I never thought Beck was trying to take credit for the 9/12 tea party, I just thought he was trying to promote it.

If the author thinks Beck’s crime is reporting on a story that someone else has already spoken about, then every radio / TV host in the country is guilty. If he thinks it is a bad thing that Beck can actually draw huge ratings while focusing on ACORN for days, or even weeks, I think he doesn’t understand the good that accomplishes. The left has been effective over the years because they are so persistant in hammering away at a person, or issue. We could learn something from the looney left in that regard.

Oh and Beck didn’t replace Gibson, Gibson had been gone for more than a year before Beck got that time slot.

Beck isn’t even my third favorite hosts when it comes to in depth analysis, but this blood feud that Levin (my second favorite) and his allies have with Beck is just not productive.

apparently, levin and this guy don’t think Beck is an intellectual. Levin thinks he is smarter than everyone else. But the bottom line is that Beck has accomplished more than Levin other than Levin selling a lot of copies of his book with Rush’s help.

I really believe Levin thinks he is exponentially more intelligent than Beck, but Beck is getting all of the attention and Levin can’t figure that out.

Talk about sour grapes. This guy oozes jealousy out of every pore and his bleeding heart pumps it all day!

This represents my only serious concerns involving Beck. Otherwise, I doubt I’d be much interested in him at all. He’s called Barack Obama a racist, for one. I’m appalled by my friends on the right who seem so willing to pass that remark off as insignificant — almost pretending it was never said. It was outrageous, undeserved, and represents nothing but the very kind of racist cudgel the left has been falsely charging the right with being for years.

What kind of nit-wit is this guy??? Obama IS a racist! Read his books. He wants to drain every drop of white blood out of his body...he's said so. Look how he treats his mother. He spent 20 years nodding and amening Rev. Wright! Don't tell me he's not a racist.

When Beck exposes Obama and his leftist cohorts for the radicals they are, or when he attacks the anti-American efforts of the liberal establishment, everyone on the rightwing gets pumped.

When Beck can't control his emotional diarrhea of the mouth, as was case with Katie Couric last week, and spews off the wall statements that gives the enemies of conservatism more ammunition to undermine rightwing politics with, we should stand up and speak out.

While grassroots conservatives and traditionalists are driving the agenda on the right, the GOP remains in a deep coma. The idea that the GOP is making headway against Democrats is ridiculous. Americans aren't embracing Republicans, as much as they are rejecting the Obama/Democrat agenda. When Republicans decide to offer a legitimate agenda of their own, then we can talk about making gains in 2010 and 2012. Not until then.
