Trial balloon?

It`d be sweet if all those health care workers packed up and left the state to work in less tyrannical states.

I received the FluMist on Friday. A few hours later, I became sick. Not just "side effects." I have the full blown flu virus. Every swallow was razor blades, fever, headache, chills, congestion, cough - the whole nine yards.
The shot is not a live virus. The mist is a live virus, and any joker that says you cannot get the flu from it is either lying, stupid, or incompetent.
Even the darn company that makes the stuff admits it, and still I was told by a "health worker" it was not true.
Can FluMist Give You The Flu? The vaccination with FluMist involves the administration of attenuated (weakened) viruses into the nose by a nasal sprayer. Some recipients will experience low-grade fever, upper respiratory symptoms and muscle aches, but these are generally milder than when a person has a symptomatic influenza infection.
I had to go to work today, and several other people who got the FluMist came down with the flu over the weekend. I am still not over it.
Here is my advice:
Don't get the FluMist!
They might tell you that you should only get the shot if you are 50 years or older, or for other health problems. If you want to be vaccinated, tell them to give you the damn shot.

I'm 48, close to 49 and have never had a flu shot in my life...I'm not going to start now.
Hope you're well soon :)

It’s too late for me. I think I’m sick already. I have a fever.

Mandatory... but only one healthcare worker has died....
and no one finds this suspicious?

My kids’ school is pushing the flu mist (not H1N1... yet) and they act like I am a negligent parent for not doing it! “No shots!” I just tell me someone I hang out with has a low immune system and leave it at that.

OMG, those idiots. I successfully argued with a military medical facility a couple of years ago about this. I take medications that keep my immune system knocked down and cannot be around people who have taken the flu mist. Finally got the “military medical facility” to agree and now they give my husband and kids the shot. They always want to give the mist because it is apparently cheaper. I got in a huge shouting match with a chief and I’m guessing that I wasn’t the only one upset. He had the nerve to tell my husband to just sleep on the sofa for a couple of days. Forget that he could have killed me. Jerk.

I'm right behind ya!
I've never had a flu shot. Some habits are hard to break so I'm not going to break it by starting getting shot(s) now.

starting getting shot(s) now. LOL, funnyou should mention shot(s) ;^)

Appreciate it. The only upside is that I now believe in this product.
It really works well.
