WASHINGTON (AP) - First lady Michelle Obama says women should do what makes them happy, a lesson she says she learned after realizing her two children, her husband and her physical health feed off of her good moods.
In an interview appearing in the November issue of Prevention magazine, Mrs. Obama discusses the meaning of good health, aging and her exercise, diet and beauty routines. She sat for the interview at the White House in late July.

ROTFLMAO!!! Too true!
I’d be happy with a full time housekeeper and cook, a gardener and if I still had young kids a nanny. Then spending much of my time reading and traveling, throw in a little shopping too.
I don’t know where the money is going to come from because it wouldn’t make me happy to work. Oh yeah, it would make me happy to be filthy rich, that fixes it all.
LOL.
IMHO
No act of mine can bring happiness
Any effort to pursue happiness
results in suffering
enslaved to the pursuit
Dropping the subject
and doing what needs to be done is best
Happiness then finds you
I wonder if Michelle’s advise includes having an abortion. “Do what makes ya happy Gals”
Do what makes me happy ping! :P
how stunningly insightful/s
Maybe they could redistribute a maid for me...that would make me happy :)
Re: “I always feel deeply suscpious whenever I hear that phrase...it’s what my Dad said to my Mom as he walked out the door leaving her with 6 kids...I deserve to be happy !
People who say that care for their own happiness, and nothing for the feelings of those around them.
You never, ever want to put them in position of power over other people”
**********
Agree — To a person, every single time I’ve heard that ‘do what makes you happy’ BS it’s from some selfish, irresponsible character (of either sex) who wants a free pass to do whatever they want without regard for others.
An example is my idiot lib-tard neighbor, who infringes on everyone else’s property and then sing-songs, “Well, live and let live is my motto.” Yeah lady, while your loud family, dogs, landscaping (or lack thereof) encroach on all your other neighbors, all the time.
A big pox on this way of thinking — GROW UP!!! Meeshell has a lot of learnin’ to do!
This is a classic example of the sick psychological philosphy of a “me first” society that has destroyed families and the fabric of our society. No accountability or resposibility for our actions.
Now look at where that has led us....children born out of wedlock....fathers not in their childrens lives....no acceptance or guilt for anything that is done...it is because of somebody else...not me..etc.
Have a Slim Fast, Michelle ...
If she’s like me, Slim Fast makes me even crankier! Sugar and skim milk — recipe for disaster ;-)
I think we find joy, not happiness, in doing what we are supposed to be doing, especially if others are depending on us.
As for Michelle glaring at Carla Bruni, I think M.O. just realized that “Tu vache” is not a term of endearment.
She may not be able to change how she looks...that is the way God made her but I was always told growing up that “beauty is as beauty does”....and true inner peace will show on the outside. Looking at MO I see a woman who is not happy with herself or her life and looking at all the good things that God has given her...that is just plain sad.
My wife does fashion design as a hobby. Trust me: God had nothing to do with what Michelle *wears*.
Oh, and beauty is only skin deep, but ugly, the kind she just exudes, goes right to the soul.
Wow. Shes fit? Who knew?
Sure...now that Bartlett Pears are the 'shape' to emulate.
Also who knew that 'boob' belts, sweaters two sizes too small, layered pastel lace blouses/skirts would become the 'style' the world seeks to attain.
Is she encouraging women to stand up and defy communism, national socialism, racism and the other "isms" that she and her husband practice every day?
Do I understand her correctly?
... and this Goebbels propaganda piece says that she is known for her "good moods?"
Yeah, and I am Spiderman.
It's the newest Broadway sensation!
Beauty and The Thug
My daughter is home-schooling her brood. I don’t know if it feels happy all the time, but I sense she will be delighted in future years.
Beauty routine. Prevention magazine. System Error. Reboot. ***chung!***
Aha, thanks.
