President Obama will travel to Copenhagen to make a pitch for Chicago’s Olympic bid, White House officials have confirmed to NBC News.
Obama will leave for Denmark Thursday night, hours after his wife Michelle departs for the vote. The president made the final decision Saturday night after returning from the G20 summit in Pittsburgh.
The announcement ends months of speculation of whether the president would lend his considerable fame to the pitch. The president has dropped hints all month long that he may attend the event.
Last week he sent an advance team to Copenhagen just in case he could make it ...

The Olympics is probably a cover. He needs f2f with someone who can’t or won’t visit the USA, or at least can’t meet with 0 here because of publicity.
Coming right after G20 is a clue.
And the Olympics in Chicago? Bad enough with LA. Maybe he’ll put Romney in charge- Mitt would have to tapdance pretty hard to say “no”!

Axelrod and Emanuel keep him out of the Oval Office and chasing TV cameras around the globe with his teleprompters while they run the country and implement their plans for the tearing down of America.
I hope the corrupt International Olympic Committee says ‘no’ and awards the games to some country that’s never hosted before. It’s only fair. How many Olympics has the US hosted? There are plenty of other corrupt places. If Chicago wins the bid, we’ll know that the IOC was bought yet again.
I despise this man. Where are our military men? Our country is in danger and this man is on a fast track to destroy us.
Anybody else get the feeling he and Michel0b are simply seeing as much of the world on our dime as possible? Whenever I see these people, the Jeffersons’ “Movin On Up” starts playing in my head.

Most residents in that city DO NOT want the Olympics there...because they KNOW that they will be stuck with the bill.

Seems to be a common theme amongst the “movin’ on up” crowd when they get elected -
milk as much graft and freebies out of the taxpayer as possible, and feel entitled to it at the same time.
The world is getting more dangerous, Americans still fear a terror attack, and this is his greatest priority now?? What a joke. Not to mention the tons of airplane fuel to be burned.
That’s a great idea! Or Iran. I think they’d make great hosts to the women’s gymnastics competition.
So let me guess, going overseas to try and get the Olympics in Chicago is more important than running a justifiable war in Afghanistan? Is this a reasonable question?
