America is no longer a superpower. Led by President Obama, its retreat on the world stage has been sudden, swift and stunning. His administration is actively pursuing a foreign policy of detente and self-abnegation. Washington no longer wants - or believes it is possible - to remain the last, sole hyperpower.

this sounds like liberals proclaiming victory
I'm optimistic that 2010 will see a whole new congress and come 2012 0bama will be thrown from office by the greatest land slide in history.
The only good thing about Carter is that we had Reagan to fall back on after he screwed us to the wall. WHo is going to be our Reagan?
(Crickets chirp).
Poor governance and uninspiring leadership have been our problems for a long time, not any great love of the left.
“’We cant expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism.’ Nikita Khrushchev.”
A lesson ObaMugabe and his compadres learned very, very well.
“The only good thing about Carter is that we had Reagan to fall back on after he screwed us to the wall. WHo is going to be our Reagan?”
John Bolton, perhaps?
btt
If we can’t stop Obama until 2012, we can still take down his support structure (elected Democrats) in 2010.
I have come to believe that it is a mistake to elect someone like “me or you” - remember folks voted for jimmy carter because he was a Bible belter and as protrayed an “average joe”, then folks wanted a “bubba” just like the ones in their families, and a horny rascal to boot, now they wanted to show themselves above racial pasts so bam, come zer0 in office. We used to have men running at the head of the pack who were statesmen, more than capable of running a country much less a corporation. I want to see men with experience in office again. And I don’t mean lawyers!
make mine a second
“No world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will succeed. That is the future America wants.”
He makes these wild, absurd, preposterous, unsupported assertions as though they were gospel!! He hasn’t a clue, and nobody challenges him!
In fact, the opposite is true!
The world order has and will always reward excellence in whatever field of endeavor you choose to examine. Whether one likes it or not, survival of the fittest is an immutable law of nature, even when dressed with the veneer of “civilized” society. Equality (which is what they’re pushing) has never existed, nor will it ever.
If he chooses (and we let him) drag this country down to mediocrity, you can be sure China or some other country will be there to take our place.
If the masses doesn't stand up to Obama as he does all these things then all is lost. It will have become the case that Americans are too stupid/ignorant to govern themselves.
If the masses turn on Obama for what he's doing then there is hope.
The jury is still out.
Wow.
“America is no longer a superpower ...”
It is the idea that this is a problem that is the problem.
America was meant to be the land of individual liberty, for the citizens of America. What it was to the world did not matter. It cannot be both ways. It is either “freedom” or “international politics.”
So sorry America has chosen international politics over individual liberty.

Thanks for the photo.
Looking at the “properties” of the photo, I presume that’s a photo
of Mussolini and his buddies after kill/capture.
I guess that the story of the old ladies urinating on Mussolini
must have occurred after they cut Mussolini down.
Or before they strung him up!!!
The cut will be too deep this time, it is not pessimism of my part, but a healthy dose of realism.
