"Birther" Infomercial Hits the Airwaves

The suspicion that President Obama was born outside of the United States has been written off as a conspiracy theory, but that hasn't stopped the so-called "birther" movement from keeping their theories alive.

A fundamentalist Christian Web site LivePrayer.com has produced a 28-minute infomercial dedicated to questioning where the president was born. It has run at least once on a CBS affiliate in Lubbock, Texas.

LivePrayer.com was founded by Christian minister Bill Keller, who committed his life to God after spending time in prison for insider trading, according to his site. The infomercial is also the work of attorney Gary Kreep, executive director of the birther group United States Justice Foundation, Talking Points Memo reports. He reportedly said the infomercial will run for at least two and a half weeks on stations around the country.

Mr. Obama has "vigorously fought.. to keep his birth information secret," Keller says in the program. "What is he hiding?"

The half hour spot encourages viewers to call a phone number to add their names to a list petitioning GOP leaders to "force President Obama to obey the law." In thanks for their support, viewers will receive a "Got a birth certificate?" bumper sticker. It also informs viewers that for just $30, they can have a fax sent on their behalf to all 50 state attorneys general and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder demanding they force President Obama to supply his official State of Hawaii birth certificate.

"Join hundreds of thousands of Americans who simply want the truth," Keller says.

Keller may be right about the persistence of the rumor -- a recent poll showed that that 42 percent of Republicans believe Barack Obama was born outside of the United States while 22 percent said they were unsure.

And while the White House has, of course, dismissed the theory as "totally crazy," some Republicans have quietly perpetuated the myth. California Rep. John Campbell co-sponsored a bill (with at least nine others) requiring presidential candidates to submit a birth certificate and refused to give a straight answer when asked whether he believed the president was born in the United States.

A Freeper who lives in Hawaii did some hard checking into that ‘birth announcement’ which was placed in the Hawaii paper.

He found that the address which was referenced was NEVER a legal parcel in the assessor records.

There's been literally dozens of threads on FR during the last year discussing the house at 6085 Kalanianaole Highway, complete with photos (ground and aerial) and real estate records. In August, World Net Daily published images of the listings for the Dunhams at that address in the '61-'62 Polk's Directory, and the Honolulu title record for the house:

"A search of the Polk's Directory of Honolulu for 1961-1962 indicates 6085 Kalanianaole Highway was being rented by the grandparents. Madelyn L. Dunham is listed as a loan interviewer and escrow agent at the Bank of Hawaii, and Stanley A. Dunham is listed as a manager with Pratt Furniture.

"In a separate listing, Ann S. Obama, Obama's mother, is identified as a student living at the 6085 Kalanianaole Highway address...

"As WND previously reported, a Honolulu title search documented 6085 Kalanianaole Highway was purchased in 1958 by Orland Scott Lefforge, a University of Hawaii professor, and his wife/companion Thelma Young, who remained owners into the 1970s."

Even in his own books, NObama has referred to 2 different hospitals as his place of birth.

Obama doesn't name the hospital in which he was born  in his books.

Neither hospital shows Stanley Ann Dunham (Obama?) ever in their facility, much less to have a baby.

Neither hospital can confirm or deny that fact, due to privacy laws.

Also, another point ? what about Bill Clinton and the Monica Lewinski scandal ?
Many had their suspicions that Bill Clinton had sex with her, and he told the America public on camera with a pointed finger " I did not have sex with THAT woman " ....
I guess, you figure, that since he did it with a finger indignation, and worded it with strong force, that he was telling the truth ?

At the risk of stating the obvious, evidence was uncovered that Clinton lied. To date you've uncovered nothing showing Obama was born overseas.

So? How does that prove anything since newspapers do not check if the given information is correct, and newspapers are not an authority on births. No one ever asks for your “newspaper announcement” instead of a birth certificate.

Spending over $ 1 million to keep this thing sealed where the citizens have a right to know if Obama is eligible.
By denying citizens of a hearing by the excuse that those citizens have no standing.
Clearly Allen Keys has standing, he was one of the presidential candidates.
