A Suffolk Superior Court judge today denied a motion by state Republicans to delay Gov. Deval Patrick’s appointment of an interim senator by 90 days.

Judge Thomas Connolly this afternoon cleared the way for Paul G. Kirk Jr. to be sworn in as an interim U.S. senator today at 3:15 p.m. in Washington, D.C.

This is outrageous, and blatantly obvious political interference and corruption of the courts.

Where’s the Rebublican protest and demand for a judicial inquiry?
Where is Romney, the man who supposedly defends principles that shouldn’t be crossed?

Shocking!

Not.

The demonRATS can change the laws at a whim and then claim they aren’t breaking them.

They also want to change the US Constitution in the same way.

Something that would have been unthinkable even 3 years ago - they smell - like blood to a shark..

+++++++++++++

Not to mention the former governor of the proud (ha!) commonwealth.

third world tactics work well in countries with third world gov’t. Just as corrupt as a banana republic, only bigger.

............”In today’s decision, the judge wrote the GOP did not show it has a “chance to succeed on the merits ...” and any “risk of harm” does not “outweigh risk of harm to the governor and Commonwealth.”————————

So the judge not only agrees is it an “emergency,” he thinks that simply hearing the case will risk harm to the Governor and Commonwealth?

Wow.

And the MA GOP will not appeal - instead asking Liberals in the state - who in their hearts support this move - to “appeal at the ballot box.”

Honestly, Norm Coleman is looking more and more like a superhero to me every day for actually exhausing all possible paths before giving-in.

You know what you’re going to get as a ballot box appeal, MA GOP? 2-4 lost seats........

His finger is currently in the air, awaiting an analysis of the wind direction.

“The state GOP committee lashed out at the decision and urged anyone equally upset to respond “in the voting booths.”

So this is, like, 3 people lashing out saying 5 people will vote against 5000? Wow.... this should change everything. </sarc>

And only then because the RNC cut off his funding.

These are dark times. The law means whatever Marxists and Democrats say it means and can now be changed to suit their every whim.

Is anyone talking about boycotting the state, or do they have anything to boycott? Or do we even care?

I'd like to read this Superior Court judge's decision to see exactly what his reasoning is for denying plaintiff's action.

You mean he needs one? We ARE talking about Democrats here, after all ...

I agree with the poster above, this is NOT an ex post facto law. From wikipedia but surpisingly accurate: “A law may have an ex post facto effect without being technically ex post facto. For example, when a law repeals a previous law, the repealed legislation no longer applies to the situations it once did, even if such situations arose before the law was repealed.”

Because they do whatever the kennedy's want.

Speaking of boycotting, the gov, an obama clone, has told state employees to boycott all Hyatt Hotels.....(Hyatt here in Boston fired a slew of housekeepers and hired other workers at a lower pay rate)

HERE and HERE
