Ann Geddes doesn't want a "fair and balanced" workout. But the 49-year-old worker for a nonprofit agency is having no luck getting the channel changed in front of her favorite rowing machine at a Columbia gym.
The television happens to be tuned permanently to Fox News. Geddes, a liberal Democrat and former legislative aide to a Howard County delegate, said she can't stomach the conservative lineup that appears nightly as she gets her exercise. Even though the sound is off, the words scrolling across the bottom of the screen infuriate her.

If she can focus that much energy on the television, she isnt working hard enough on the rower. I do not understand why people feel they need the visual distraction of a TV or magazine when theyre exercising. Focus on your fricking workout for 45 minutes and you might actually start seeing some results...For some people (like me), exercise is so boring that without some kind of distraction, it becomes nearly impossible to stick with it for the duration. Except for PT tests where they're not allowed, I always wear headphones. If I'm doing elliptical or stationary bike, then I like to watch TV.

Ann Geddes doesn't want a "fair and balanced" workout.
She has a right to be narrow-minded, and she even has a right to be closed-minded, and she has the right to be remain stupid and single-minded.
But, she doesn't have the right to dictate to others what they'll see or hear or how they'll run their businesses.
But, she has a totally bizarre view of what democracy means and it's that kind of mentality which is so prevalent in their ranks. If the wrongly named "democratic" party has its way, FOX news and conservative radio talk shows will disappear from the airwaves completely.

For me torture is 3 hours stuck in an airport with CNN. It's the only way they can get viewers.....

..... Now Ms Geddes knows how I feel every time I have to endure 24/7 CNN in every airport terminal on earth.

From the article:
“Of the 40 large-screen televisions in the general exercise rooms in Columbia’s three gyms, three are set to receive Fox.”
Just the slightest bit of truth drives the Left over the edge.

She did! That’s why she likes the treadmill...
So many batteries, such little relief. Maybe her knickers are too tightly knotted.

Funny, thats how I feel when Im forced to watch CNN in the Atlanta (and just about any other) airport.
I feel your pain. I also resent "This is CNN news" coming on every hour on the hour during conservative radio talk shows. It reminds me that they own the news and I take every word said with a grain of salt knowing to interpret through their bias.

If she wins, I am suing every airport.

Of the 40 large-screen televisions in the general exercise rooms in Columbia's three gyms, three are set to receive Fox.Just another totalitarian Socialist / Communist masquerading as a 'Democrat'. In typical fashion, she can't STAND the slightest variance from the hard-Left party line and insists that all who dare suggest a different viewpoint be silenced. Not engaged and reasoned with, but silenced outright. If she were to have her way she would most likely have no problems with putting all Republicans and the few remaining sane Dems in railroad boxcars and sending them 'away'....
The fact that she sees absolutely nothing wrong not only with making such an utterly ludicrous demand at her club but then goes to the media for further and dramatically wider exposure of her small-minded Gauleiter-esque mindset is a stark reminder of how widely acceptable such an attitude is among the Left. They have absolutely no interest in 'reaching across the aisle' except perhaps with a flamethrower.

More from the article:
“When it became really upsetting to me was this summer with all the town hall meetings,” she said. “I literally just close my eyes, but the problem I have frankly is, I see out of the corner of my eye. You can’t help peeking,” she said.
LOL!

Try sitting at an airline terminal being blasted by the CNN SAT-bottom of the barrel dweller newsreaders. Of course, airline terminals are about the only place that has actual CNN viewers.

After a hard day of traveling on the road I find out that the hotel I booked only carrys CNN on their cable network!
I always make a point to submit a complaint.

I wonder if she thought the town halls were astroturf or real? Given her mindset I’m guessing she feels they were staged. Would love to hear opinion on the 9/12 Tea Parties. I’m gonna take a leap and guess that healthcare has been her life’s work. That and not making a profit.
