True Love: Paul Kirk, not Wife Victoria, executor of Ted Kennedy's estate
Fox News Channel | 9/24/09

Breaking... revealed that Paul Kirk, the Kennedy life-long suck-up unlawfully selected by MA Gov. Patrick to take Ted Kennedy's seat tomorrow, September 25, is the executor of Ted's will. Not Ted's widow, Victoria. That's true love and trust, huh?

No doubt Ted’s loving children had a say on that decision.

Low life trash, all of them.

How much in Estate taxes will the Kennedy’s pay?

it was always an arranged marriage anyway, I don’t see the problem.

"How much in Estate taxes will the Kennedy’s pay?"

Good question.

I thought that it was interesting there was some talk immediately after his death about the disposition of the Hyannis Port sea-side estate, and whether it might become some kind of museum. Which, I imagine, might not sit too well with many of the neighbors.

There's been a LOT of Kennedys through the years, diluting that famous Kennedy Trust. The taxes on such an estate would be enormous, which is probably what's driving some of the talk about the museum.

With an ex and kids and all that it’s bound to be a pretty complex estate. It’s not unusual to not make the wife the executor, especially not if there’s going to be complex matters, the wife generally is supposed to be mourning not going through all the safety deposit boxes and paperwork.

If they can make it work like they did for Rose Kennedy, not much.

And I’m sure Ted’s kids want to play this just like Jackie’s kids did:

http://wizbangblog.com/content/2005/05/14/ted-kennedy-lov.php

“when his sister-in-law, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, died, her children fought like hell in court to get their legacy declared as “income” (taxed at 40%) and not “inheritance” (taxed at 55%).

And that’s why when Teddy’s mother, Rose Kennedy, died, her estate was probated in much more inheritance-friendly Florida, where she had a home, and not in Massachusetts. Petty concerns about such trivialities as the law that requires estates be probated where the person had their legal home were just shrugged aside. Never mind that one has to actually LIVE in a state to be a resident; even though Rose hadn’t left Massachusetts in about twelve years, her family insisted that in her heart, she just KNEW she was a Floridian and wanted her estate settled that way.”

Her father was a convicted bank swindler.

Quite a pair. Well matched. He’s about 30 years her senior.

Kirk was Teddy's executor, and now will likely occupy his seat. What a coincidence. Here's a peek at Teddy's probate inventory.

Item 2. 633 gallons of Chivas Regal

Item 3. Waitress Sandwich recipe book (left to Chris Dodd)

Item 4. One Massachusetts senatorial seat, nominally subject to the rights of a bunch of serfs. (left to Paul Kirk, apparently)

Oh, I don’t know. When we were talking about guardians and trustees for our kids if the worst ever happened, the lawyer said to choose based on ability.

negotiable and provided for in will.

My Dad paid 3 percent for executor. Standard seemed about 8 percent but it has been a long time.

Ted had kids by prior marriage, ex wife and I am sure this was done to have it done by someone other than wife.

Probably no. I think the Kennedy’s use slick real estate trusts to get around it.
