One of the lefts favorite (and lamest) rhetorical tricks is to simply reprint one of their opponents statements, verbatim, and without comment. You see, the statements idiocy and offensiveness is self-evident, and will surely shock the conscience of any right thinking reader. No rebuttal required.
Its a lazy, sophomoric ploy. I suppose the left has been our self-appointed cultural hall monitor for so long theyve lost the ability, or the need, to offer up sound counterarguments.
Theres a classic example of this dopey tactic up at Media Matters today.
The Media Matters post is nothing more than a video clip from FOX News, and the headline: Doocy smears Frank, suggests he tolerated somebody running a prostitution ring out of his house

MERDE MATTERS, no need to read.
“...in late 1985, Gobie says, he began to use Frank’s apartment and two other locations for prostitution. Frank knew about the prostitution all along, ...”

When using Adobe Photoshop, I prefer the “Smudge” tool to even out the rough lines.
The truth is not the same as a smear.
When I lived in DC, at a conservative Republican social event, I was talking to a guy who said he lived downstairs from Barney Frank’s apartment at that time.
Not only was it clear there was a prostitution ring going on there, but this guy said he saw a steady stream of underage teen BOYS as most of the traffic.
That that pervert is one of the most important men in our country now utterly sickens me.
If you go to Horowitz’s site, there is a person posting there pimping the right-wing authoritarian work of Kruglansky, et. al., and somebody named Altemeyer. He posted a link to a 260+ page paper Altemeyer wrote that includes his version of the RWA scale.
I invite you to peruse the posts and then logically dismember the poster.
