I am naive, why use a NO knock search warrant?

I just think if you go barreling in to a home you’ll get shot.
If you call out police, search warrant usually not.

Here’s an idea:

Wait for Mr. Gonzalez to go for his morning stroll. As he walks by, jump from behind the bushes and nab him. Then go into the house and execute your search warrant.

Your link leads to a different cop shooting that happened in Jersey City, not Lakewood and that happened in July.

So some guy is selling Pot and has a few guns, “hey! lets bust into his house at 2:25 AM” what could go wrong?
