WASHINGTON (AP) - The IRS says it is severing ties with ACORN, the community activist group involved in a scandal after employees were caught on video giving advice to a couple posing as a prostitute and pimp.

The Internal Revenue Service said Wednesday it would no longer include ACORN in its volunteer tax assistance program. The program offered free tax advice to about 3 million low- and moderate-income tax filers this spring

I think I remember reading that at one point ACORN did one of their community harassment things, like they have done to banks, and H&R Block capitulated to their demands. H&R Block may now be in cahoots with ACORN.

ACORN just got slapped with a $548,213.25 federal tax lien from the Internal Revenue Service, on top of $334,121.43 in tax liens from Louisiana state tax officials, and the IRS is just now waking up to the fact that, well, there might be something wrong, here, ya' know?

Someone at ACORN has to sign the preparers section at the bottom of each tax forms they prepared...
