They seem to think they have some sort of divine, hereditary right to decide who will be the next senator from Massachusetts.

The laws don’t matter. Democrats are SELECTING NOT ELECTING Kennedy’s “successor”.

I hope they got as good a price for the seat as was made on Obama’s Senate seat.

Power from the grave! And what will ‘they’ do if ‘they’ are not obeyed?

Yep—once again, liberals scream about usurping the law, unless they’re the ones doing it.

If the dwindling Kennedys want it done, then so be it!

After all, that Senate seat does not belong to the citizens of Taxachusetts.

It belongs to the Kennedys.

I’ve got a novel idea. How about letting the PEOPLE decide? Kennedys are a curse on this country.

Yea, thats it. Forget those stupid and ignorant peon voters! What do they know next to the highly educated and astute Kennedy's? Elections cost money for crying out loud!

The “Kennedys” have no say in the deal. So they can kiss my lower middle class peasant ass.

Democrats feel owed power by divine right (in Marxism).

It isn’t about the votes. It is about power by any means necessary.

When they lose elections and clearly cannot claim “theft”, they claim that votes were “lied” to and that they “voted against their best interests” and on “bigotry and greed”.

They lie like Stalinists and are brazen about it. Don’t look for consistency in their excuses and arguments.

Cheeeech, 71-years-old...you’d expect them to go for a younger Kennedy leftie such as Patrick or Robert F. Jr., considering their penchant for keeping it in the family.

See, there’s been a reason all along to cultivate and keep cultivating the “Lion of the Senate” image (thank you extra much, Juan McCain), and promoting the waning Kennedy dynasty-—the more than implicit message is: we can’t just replace him with ANYONE, some interloper who doesn’t know what Teddy stood for, no , we’ve GOT to replace him with
“one of us”, someone who can pull the same strings, and dole out the same favors, and maybe help a new generation of Kennedys (perish the thought)/. It’s not like they don’t do this all the time.....Kennedys or not. It’s the same old Phoenix rising from the same old dead, cold ashes.

Who’s going to be the first from Taxachusetts to tell the Kennedy in-breds to go pound sand?

Replacing an old Kennedy with an old Kirk, kind of reminds me of the old Soviet Politburo in more ways than one.

Patrick is already Congressman from Rhode Island--he can't hold two positions at once, and he wouldn't want to give up a lifetime seat in the House for a temporary seat in the Senate. Did the version that passed bar the temporary holder of the seat from running in the special election? That was talked about earlier.

I don't think RFK, Jr., is a Massachusetts resident.

It is ironic and revealing that the state that played a large role in breaking away from British Monarchy has reverted to a system of rule of the “royalty” and the privileged.

apparently you can appoint yourself King in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts, and the populace will just shrug and go buy another lottery ticket...
