Facing the increasing likelihood of losses in the 2010 midterm congressional and gubernatorial elections, President Obama and his fellow Democrats are returning to a tried-and-true campaign strategy - run against former President George W. Bush.
In speech after speech since taking office, Mr. Obama has pointed back to the problems he inherited from the Bush administration when he took office. And earlier this month, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine catalogued a slew of perceived Bush failures to the delight of supporters.
Already, Democratic gubernatorial candidates in Virginia and New Jersey are testing the strategy - so far, however, unsuccessfully.
It will be a failed strategy, said Karl Rove, former senior political adviser to Mr. Bush.

Mr. Obama should wake up and take notice that the problems he now faces were caused by himself.

Try that in Nov 2010, the simple response is easy to deluded Dems “Bush hasnt been in office in 21 months, Obama has, is that all you got”.
even now is sounds flimsy to Blame Bush, he can no longer take the blame, there’s a new flaming point to hit.

“

"...Obama has pointed back to the problems he inherited from the Bush administration when he took office."
Confucious Say: "Man who looks backward all time soon walks into wall."
Well, barry ol' man, you've had nine months to even look like you're trying to "fix" some of those perceived "problems", but all you do is keep coming up with ways to destroy capitalism, raise taxes, spend money, and downgrade America to the world.
The only "problem" I see he has inherited is how to stop looking like a "community organizer" as compared to a real President.
The time for blaming Bush is waaaaaayyyyy past, unless you doing something to specifically correct what you're blaming him for; maybe you can't fix it all in 9 months, but hell, you could at least try and look like you're interested in doing that, couldn't you?
Maybe there was the Fannie Mae thing brewing, but I really didn't see any of these other "crises" with Bush...especially healt care.
Only an adolescent teenager, or a liberal, sits around whining "it's not my fault".

Heh. Yes, let's talk about Bush. Let's see, under Bush the unemployment rate never got this high, and we had a long period of economic growth.
Back when Bush was president, people had jobs.

Every time the unemployment rate under Bush rose by 0.1% it was front page headlines in the MSM. Under O, unemployment has gone from less than 5% to almost 10% and there is total silence!

In New Jersey Democrats don't run on issues EVER. They run on demographics and their appeal is “Hey I'm the Democrat vote for me because he's the Republican.”
Christie is running as Republicans always do, on issues and there are plenty. So far so good for Chris.Time is running out for Corzine because New Jersey IS the most corrupt (read Democrat)state in the country.

Why doesn’t Bush come out and endorse the 2 Democrats? They are making him part of the campaign. I would love to see their heads explode if he did it.

“Why doesnt Bush come out and endorse the 2 Democrats?”
Only democrat presidents get to be active after being president. Republicans have to never be heard of again.
Dems snuck that in a farm bill back in the 80s I think..
