President Obama's central message to the Israeli and Palestinian leaders in New York today was simple, a U.S. official said: He's running out of patience.
"The President of the United States is impatient," said the senior U.S. official. "That's what he told them."
"There’s a limited window of opportunity here, and he's determined, but he’s also impatient and we need to get going," the official said.
The message, he said, was "received loud and clear" -- though the tenor of that reception may be more obvious after Abbas and Netanyahu speak to the press. Special Envoy George Mitchell will meet again with the sides this week, and again in Washington next week, the official said.
so much for approaching the world with a sense of humility....
And if Bibi tells The One to go nominate himself, then what?
