The Justice Department's inspector general has agreed to investigate whether ACORN has applied for or received any DOJ grant money, in the wake of bipartisan criticism of the community activist group's operation.
And seven other inspectors general are being asked by two congressional members to take a look at their funding mechanisms.

The scope of the investigation seems very narrow. Do they think they can declare an ‘all’s well’ from just looking at whter DOJ money went to ACORN?
Nope. But they will try. The IRS should be auditing tax returns. ANd the FBI should be doing a criminal investigation. Forget the DOJ and the FEC, they will be useless.
If they wanted an unbiased investigation (which they don’t), they’d call in Patrick Fitzgerald. He doesn’t care who the special interest group is working for. If they broke the law, he’ll nail them.
Place Holder in charge? GREAT! Now we can have ACORN thugs declared innocent, just like Black Panthers.
Why not investigate all their corruption? This "investigation" is as bogus as the 9/11 commission.

Let's demand an ACORN investigation - for real.
Unless you have them on video, they never find anything. Even when you got them dead to rights on video, there is often still no prosecution.
Before this is over, we will be asking for a justice department investigation...it's being run by AA appointees.
As per usual with Administrations like Obama’s (or nascent dictatorships), things like the Walpin firing
come too thick and fast for anyone to notice. They don’t even rate a blip in MSM coverage, and, ironically, are almost completely forgotten in our own minds. MORE, MUCH MORE should have been made of this sudden , and oh-so-transparently motivated firing of one who was just trying to do his job, and whose investigations led him directly into the practices of Kevin Johnson, former NBA star,Obama supporter and crony, and Mayor of Sacramento. Unfortunately, this story gets swamped by a half dozen others EVERY DAY, so it sinks.
I am surprised Walpin hasn’t found a way to surface again.
I am equally surprised no one on our side hasn’t found a way to get him involved in our protest as “just another victim” of Obama. Sort of reminds me of the Travel Gate firing of Billy Dale, somewhere early in the Clinton Administration. They wanted abject “loyalty” wherever they turned. Like most dictators.

The IG is supposed to be independent, but I’m thinking of the man who was fired by the WH for exposing The One’s friend, the mayor of Oakland, CA. Even after the guy admitted he had ‘rechanneled’ fed funds for his own purposes.
Still, we can hope the DOJ IG will do a better job than John Podesta, et al., appointed by ACORN itself. Wolves watching the henhouse and all that.

The white house should fire Joe Biden using the same criteria that they fired the IG, dementia, disoriented.
Criminals investigating their own asylum. NO THANKS! Just a fishing expedition to find evidence to be destroyed....is all.
We can expect a thorough report finding no wrong doing no later than Friday.
After what happened to Gerald Walpin, I don’t think any IG is going to be digging to deeply on this one.
